Position: Grants & Contracts Accountant – Kenya Programme
HelpAge International (www.helpage.org) is the secretariat to the HelpAge Global Network, which brings together a wide range of organisations and individuals working to promote the rights and meet the needs of older women and men, nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
The Grants & Contracts Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Kenya country programme in budgeting, financial accounting and reporting of assigned grants and donor projects as well as providing financial support and training affiliates and implementing partners. The incumbent will be based in Nairobi with frequent travel to field sites.

Qualifications
The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPAII, three years working experience in an international NGO, two years experience in preparing grant proposals and reporting, ability to work independently and make routine decisions. Working knowledge of SUN system, computer applications and ability to travel on short notice, communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills are essential to this role.
