Key Accounts Manager – Building Segment

Requirements

  • Graduate in a technical discipline or a business field or social sciences – engineering degree is an added advantage
  • Technical sales background desirable

Road Business Developer

Responsibilities

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and rules. This is an integral part of all job duties as is the company’s overarching value and is implemented in accordance with Group H&S guidelines.

Sales and service to Local segment contractors :

  • Ensure delivery of contribution and market share targets in the segment as well as the establishment and maintenance of good corporate relations with the customers. • Ensure the management of receivables to achieve company payment cycle to achieve collection targets and minimize risk.

Targeting and Designing:

  • Contribute to product and process inventions so as to provide an acceptable value proposition to contractors and other players in the segment • Generate acceptable strategies in the building segment to win more accounts and increase market share in line with business strategy

Business Development:

  • Collection of information and monitoring of new and upcoming projects countrywide. Maintain a dynamic local segment projects database and extensive prospect list. • Influence specification to ensure the company is the supplier of choice wherever possible • Establish size & scale of the segment’s contractors/clients with view to growing company’s presence in the segment and build market growth forecasts into the total business volume model.

Liaising with product Innovations team/lobbying stakeholders:

  • In liaison with the Innovations and Technical support team, participate/collaborate with relevant Engineers and specifiers to influence use of company products and construction solutions in the segment.

Technical support

  • Address challenges related to the different products to the local contractors and customers including use of the mobile laboratory for demos on customer sites • Special assignments – including technical involvement in partnership with contractors and working closely with Bamburi Special Products ltd to leverage on synergies within the overall business to help differentiate our offerings to the contractors in this segment within the overall business to help differentiate our offerings to the contractors in this segment

Geo cycles Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all concerned legislations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental policies, standards and procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities in Alternative Fuel (AF)/ Alternative Raw Material (ARM) market within the Coast Region and rest of Kenya where relevant, anticipating key development opportunities for business as well as ensure continuous market assessments and market intelligence.
  • Maximizing revenue through increased sales activities for new and existing clients as well as building sales pipelines through identification of sales opportunities and potential customers and implementing sales activity plans.
  • Preparing commercial offers /tenders for review and discussion with the Geocycle and Business Projects Director and managing the tender process.
  • Liaising, developing and building close business relationships with stakeholders such as county governments, and other environment regulators in Kenya and participate in events related to AF/ARM usage.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure that customer requirements are met, and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Build up and maintain the knowhow on legal requirements and restrictions about waste management and any other regulation influencing waste pretreatment and co-processing in cooperation with Legal department.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a business discipline/ marketing/engineering, or environmental management
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience in cement manufacturing and/or waste management or technical sales background. Business and sales development proven experience, preferably in service industries or FMCG.
  • Very good understanding of the waste market and associated legal framework developments
  • Sales & Marketing skills as well as ability to develop business cases. Entrepreneurial mindset, agility and drive to exploit developments within innovative and fast moving sector
  • Strong appreciation of commercial developments in waste collection & transport, treatment, recovery and disposal technologies, cement manufacturing
  • Very good negotiation skills, excellent communication and influential skills with strong leadership skills.
  • High adaptability, resilience, integrity and honesty
