1. Office Assistant II

REF. NO: MSEA-47/7/2019 (MSEA Grade 10)

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail:- cleaning offices, machines/equipment/apparatus and ensuring habitable office conditions at MSEA; collecting and disposing waste; preparing and serving refreshments; moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement; and dispatching letters.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  2. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

2. Clerical Officer II

Ref. No: MSEA- 44/7/2019 (MSEA Grade 9)

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail:- collecting, collating and compiling data; receiving, recording, folioing and filling correspondences and documents; indexing of documents and records; photocopying and scanning documents; maintaining and updating files; and keeping safe custody of equipment, documents and records.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  2. Certificate in any of the following disciplines; Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Administration, Kenya Accounts Technician Certificate (KATC), Supply Chain Management or Records Management lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution;
  3. A Craft Certificate such as KAME or KATC or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  4. Proficiency in computer applications.

3. Customer Relations Assistant Assistant I

Ref. No: MSEA-38/7/2019 (MSEA Grade 8)

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:- maintaining daily record of visitors details; taking charge of the reception desk; maintaining good ambience in the reception area; responding to visitors queries; recording and confirming visitors appointments; receiving, guiding and directing visitors to designated offices and areas; and issuing passes to visitors.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

  1. served in the grade of Customer Relations Assistant II for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  2. Certificate in any of the following disciplines:- Customer Service, Public Relations, Communication, Management, Front Office or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
  4. Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.

In addition, all prospective candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of leadership and integrity as set out in Chapter six (6) of the constitution of Kenya and attach the following documents to their applications:-

  • Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission clearance Certificate (EACC)
  • Kenya Revenue Authority Tax compliance Certificate (KRA)
  • Higher Education Loans Board clearance Certificate(HELB)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
  • Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau
