Operations Manager (1Position)

Job title:Operations Manager (1Position)
Location:Valley View Office Park, Parkland.

Job Description

  • You are responsible for managing a large number of security personnel delivering different security services on customer sites. You could be supporting the development, operations and profitability of your assigned area through ensuring the best possible business performance, contract compliance and delivery.  

Responsibilities

  • Managing your area of responsibility, including providing support, absence management, discipline and grievance, and recruitment activities
  • Effectively setting out goals and objectives for your team, including those for supervisory roles that may fall under your reporting line and structure
  • Acting as a role model and always behaving in line with our company values
  • Driving employee engagement by personal interaction and engagement with your team in order to develop and coach them in their duties and responsibilities
  • Managing contractual budgets in line with financial targets
  • Ensuring all aspects of the required security services are being delivered to the customers’ satisfaction and in accordance with the contract
  • Ensuring there are sufficient trained and vetted staff working at all times to meet customer and contract requirements
  • Ensuring contract required training and screening / vetting has been completed for all security staff
  • Developing professional customer relationships, responding appropriately to customer requests and concerns
  • Completing effective health & safety assessments, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of any incidents, involvement in subsequent investigations
  • Completing risk assessments and site evaluations as well as completing monthly performance reports and billing schedules
  • Any other duties assigned to you by your line manager

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors/ Diploma in security management, criminology or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience, Ideally security Industry.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications
  • A valid security industry license or accepted certificate of security competence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interacting both internally and externally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully manage a team

Job Description:

  • You would supervise a team of security officers securing premises for our customers. The role ensures the professional operation, administration and performance of a variety of security services for a customer’s site.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising a team of security officers ensuring the best possible service delivery
  • Managing team resources to ensure adequate staffing for our customer
  • Inducting new personnel ensuring they are aware of site security procedures
  • Seeking ways of enhancing service offering by making frequent improvement suggestions, and encouraging security team to do likewise
  • Ensuring that training and screening requirements have been met for all team members
  • Ensuring quality of service, contract compliance and that that operational Key Performance Indicators s are met
  • Leading the team in incident management and conflict resolution
  • Completing effective health & safety assessments, risk assessments and site evaluations
  • Supporting and developing team members in the performance of their duties.
  • Any other duties assigned to you by your line manager

Job Requirements

Security Guard (35 Positions) – Male and Female

Job title:Security Guard (35 Positions) – Male and Female
Terms: Special Requirements: Contract   The assignments are located in different areas hence we require candidates from or who live near these areas; Eastleigh, pangani, Ruiru, Kiambu, and Ruaka.

Job Description:

  • As a member of the security team, you are responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports.  You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

Job duties and responsibilities                                                                                                     

  • Presenting at all times, a smart, alert and visible security presence at the premises of our clients
  • Conducting shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure all matters of concern or note occurring during a shift are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management continuity
  • Writing complete and accurate handover and incident reports and taking appropriate action as required on all reports passed to you at the commencement or during a duty shift
  • Ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ buildings and assets by complying with safe working procedures and carrying out all security duties as specified, including internal and external patrols, monitoring CCTV, searching people and vehicles
  • Reporting any security events and dealing with emergency situations, including initial alerts and evacuations, in accordance with site procedures
  • Working as part of a team to provide conflict resolution assistance at client premises where there is potential for conflict
  • Greeting, assisting and directing members of the public visiting the premises of our client
  • Any other duties assigned to you by your line manager

Job requirements and qualifications

  • Diploma or High School Certificate
  • Prior experience of working as a Security Officer in the security industry or someone who is confident following specific procedures and instructions
  • A valid security industry license or accepted certificate of security competence preferable
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Good customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and alert to any changes that may indicate an increased security risk or unusual situation
