Job Description

The Financial Advisor will be required to present, promote and sell our products to existing and prospective clients by establishing, developing and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To prospect for potential customers as per the corporate strategy;
  2. Achieving personal goals through quality sales and superior customer service to clients;
  3. Preparing and presenting competitive quotations to prospects;
  4. Consulting on the most effective cover for a particular need, while taking a number of factors into account;
  5. Setting up meetings, preparing and delivering presentations to potential clients;
  6. Developing and maintaining good working relationships with existing customers;
  7. Introducing new products and promoting them through regular visits and frequent communication with existing clients and prospects;
  8. Ensuring credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products; and
  9. Delivering good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients.


  1. Holders of Diploma in a Business related course
  2. COP/ECOP certification will be an added advantage
  3. Must be aged 23 years and above
  4. Excellent communication, presentation skills and Digital savvy
  5. Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset and passionate willing to maximize earnings growth, year on year, with our highly incentivized commission-based pay structure and income benefits
  6. KCSE certificate & KRA PIN number
  7. Sales and marketing work experience is an added advantage and any formal work experience is desired

CIC Life Unit Managers

Job Description

The Unit Manager will be responsible for selling and growing retail Life Assurance products through Financial Advisors under their supervision. This shall include recruiting, training, retaining and providing overall leadership to Financial Advisors as prescribed by the company to ensure key performance indicators for the Unit are met.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment, selection and retention of productive Financial Advisors;
  2. Conducting trainings on company products, processes, sales and soft skills to achieve results;
  3. Conduct Field Training with Financial Advisors to ensure hands on approach to sales;
  4. Performance management and supervision to drive sales across all product lines and meet targets;
  5. Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring and motivation to unit members and ensure that they effectively implement strategies and agreed action plans;
  6. Market segmentation and opening of markets for financial advisors to secure business;
  7. Providing effective customer service to both  prospective and existing customers;
  8. Preparing sales and other management reports as required from time to time;
  9. Identify and open pay points for the unit and monitor the sales growth in these markets; and
  10. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Agency Manager


  1. Minimum of a Diploma in a business related course. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
  2. Must have a valid IRA License for the current year
  3. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within the financial services industry
  4. Relevant professional qualifications in Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance – COP/ECOP
  5. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
