Position: Resource Mobilization Officer, (NOB), Nairobi, Kenya, #113003, Temporary Appointment (365 days), Open to Kenyan Nationals Only

EDUCATION: 

University degree in Social Sciences, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations; or equivalent professional work experience in resource mobilisation, coordination, communication, etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Two years progressively responsible professional work experience in development agency, resource mobilisation or communication field handling development issues.

LANGUAGES:

 Fluency in English required and another UN language desirable.  Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.

SKILLS:

 Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form; specific skills in writing reports, proposals. Proven ability to effectively manage relationship with programme colleagues and donors, government officials and other UNICEF partners. Knowledge of computer systems, internet navigation and various office applications, specifically interactive digital media.  Ability to handle excel, PROMS. Proven ability to work as part of a team

Position: WASH Specialist, NOC, Nairobi, Kenya #90691 (Open to Kenyan Nationals Only)

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, social sciences, behaviour change communication, sanitary engineering or another relevant technical field.

DEVELOPMENTAL: 

A minimum of five years of professional experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required.

One year of deployment in a developing country is required. Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree are a strong asset.

Fluency in English is required.  Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset
