RELATIONSHIP OFFICER-MICRO BUSINESS

JOB PURPOSE

The Incumbent will report to the Sector Head and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by proactively marketing for Micro business opportunities from current & prospective clients as well as acting as the main Relationship officer for all Micro business customers. Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Growth in number of Micro customers/SHG/Chama customers.
  • Growth in the micro loan book portfolio
  • Growth in new deposits through SHG groups, Chamas and individuals.
  • Grow interest and fees income as per the set targets.
  • Ensuring quality in the Micro loan book portfolio.
  • Micro customers training.
  • Performance monitoring of the set targets to ensure they are met.
  • Sales and marketing of the micro products.
  • Generating micro business leads.
  • New Micro product development.
  • Facilitating Micro customers partnerships and Micro customers training.
  • Spearhead growth of Micro business in the branch.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree preferably in a business-related field.
  • AKIB banking certificates will be an added advantage.
  • 3 years’ experience in banking, 2 of which should be in Business development and customer relationship management.
  • Solid analytical skills and experience in credit appraisal, handling and resolving customer requests and queries.
  • Good understanding of prudential guidelines and KYC.
  • Have strong communication and team building skills with ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Resilient, Confident and self-motivated.

RELATIONSHIP OFFICER-SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISES(SBE)

JOB PURPOSE

The Incumbent will report to the Sector Head and will be responsible for providing financial and business solutions to Small Business Enterprise customers including credit solutions, liability products, PAR and customer relationship management.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Developing new business opportunities by proactively marketing for Small Business Enterprise lending and deposit mobilization opportunities from both current and prospective clients
  • Appraise, review, validate and process Small Business Enterprise customer applications in a timely manner
  • To act as the relationship officer for all Small Business Enterprise customers and to work closely with the customers in the Branch to the mutual benefit of both the customers and the bank market for new business.
  • Cross – selling of all bank services and marketing for new business.
  • Collection of market intelligence information, local competition, products, and levels of service.
  • Maintain a good quality loan book by ensuring arrears on normal and watch category accounts are collected promptly.
  • Maintain a database of all Small Business Enterprise clients in the branch portfolio.
  • Training of new and existing clients on the Bank’s products.
  • Develop rapport with potential clients and be able to close sales and contracts in lending and bank business acquisition.
  • To perform any other duty as assigned in line with the Organizational goals and objectives.

RELATIONSHIP OFFICER-AGRIBUSINESS

JOB PURPOSE

The Incumbent will report to the Sector Head and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by proactively marketing for Agribusiness opportunities from current & prospective clients as well as acting as the main Relationship officer for all Agribusiness customers. The main goal of the position is to continuously grow the Agribusiness Portfolio in the branch.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Drive and Implement solutions for the Agribusiness branch portfolio based on the Bank’s strategy.
  • Increase bank deposits for the Agribusiness portfolio, Micro segment, and the bank as a whole.
  • Drive the Agribusiness portfolio while fostering & growing relationships within the Agribusiness customer base.
  • Drive to increase interest and non-interest income from Agribusiness banking.
  • Agribusiness Customer based focus on increase of customer numbers, product and tariff development, channels, and Innovation.
  • Conducting market intelligence and surveys in respect to competitor products and market trends.
  • New Agribusiness product development.
  • Appraisal and evaluation of all new Micro and Agribusiness credit facilities generated from Branch staff and recommendation to credit department for approval.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Economics or related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA or Credit Management.
  • Thorough knowledge of Agribusiness banking products and policies.
  • 3 years’ experience in banking, 2 of which should be in Business development and customer relationship management.
  • Solid analytical skills and experience in credit appraisal, handling and resolving customer requests and queries.
  • Good understanding of prudential guidelines and KYC.
