Human Resource Assistant

Job Description :

  • To assist in all Human Resource and Administration functions; implementing and providing guidance on company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in recruiting, motivating and retaining high quality employees.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
  • Support in monitoring staff performance and attendance activities.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff, supervisors and counsel on human resource and work-related issues.

Human Resource Officer

Job Description :

  • The key role of this position will be to manage and Support the Overall HR functions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct and coordinate with management to ensure timely recruitment, interviews, orientation and training and development of employees.
  • Coordinate and engage in staff training and development plans.
  • Manage Performance and carry out quarterly and monthly performance appraisals.
  • Provide guidance to employees and management in regard to HR policies and practices and relevant employment law.

Land Surveyor

Job Description :

  • Optiven, a leading company in the Real Estate Industry seek to hire an experienced person to fill the position of a Land surveyor. The successful person will be measuring and mapping the shape of land, gather data for civil engineering and construction projects so that accurate site plans can be drawn.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct engineering, topographical and physical surveys of sites for preparation of site plans and topographical maps for direct construction costs and development purposes.
  • Coordinate the development and review of policies, plans and strategies on surveying, GIS and mapping.
  • Research previous survey evidence, including maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records, to obtain data needed for surveys and decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on standardization, procurement, certification and usage of survey equipment.
  •  Interact with civil engineers, landscape architects, cartographers, urban planners etc. for proper execution of work assignments.
  • Supervise and undertake quality control of outsourced survey services, monitor and evaluate the survey and mapping activities.
  • Prepare departmental survey budgets, monitoring and evaluating budget control measures.
  • Prepare and share relevant periodic reports with the line manager and senior management team whenever needed.
  • Perform any other work as may be assigned by the management.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  •  A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid Practicing License from Lands Surveyor’s Board (LSB) of Kenya
  • Full membership with the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) (Land Surveyors Chapter)

The successful applicant will aid in streamlining land operations to ensure effective and timely service delivery to our clients specifically in areas like water provision, infrastructure and other value additions to the projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical advice to the Company on Physical planning matters.
  • Formulation of physical and land use policies, regulations and standards.
  • Oversee implementation of the physical development policies, guidelines, strategies and spatial plans.
  • Oversee development of a framework for development of Infrastructure as well as coordinate site analysis.
  • Oversee collection of geographical data for preparation, design and review of physical development plan.
  • Spearhead vetting and verification of Physical development and building plans.
  • Regulate use of land projects, oversee implementation of development control and preservation orders.

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders and the National Land Commission and National Government Land agencies on matters related to physical planning

Requirements :

  • Bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution.
  • Have professional experience (practical) for over three (3) years in planning matters.
  • Have demonstrated technical and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Be registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board.
  • Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural association of Kenya.
