Registration Services Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Manager, Registration Services will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing the processes for the registration of engineers and engineering consulting firms and oversee the issuance of licenses by the Board.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
- Develop and implement policies and guidelines to facilitate registration and licensing of persons and engineering consulting firms;
- Coordinate the receipt, review and vetting of applications from persons and engineering consulting firms seeking registration and licensing;
- Maintain up to date comprehensive database of registered person and engineering consulting firms
- Coordinate the scheduling, conducting and collating results of professional examinations;
- Prepare responses to inquiries on the registration of persons and engineering consulting firms;
- Participate in the development, implementation and review of the Boards strategic plan;
- Prepare the registration certificates and licenses for issuance by the Registrar;
- Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations to enhance efficiency of the registration and licensing processes;
- Prepare documentation for the gazettement of licensed engineers and engineering firms;
- Mentor, Coach and supervise staff under the department;
- Prepare the departmental work plans and budgets;
- Undertake performance appraisal for the staff under the department.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
- Have at least eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in supervisory level;
- Have Bachelors Degree in Engineering from a recognized Institution
- Have Masters degree in Engineering or relevant qualification from a recognized university;
- Be a registered Professional Engineer by the Board
- Be a member of good standing with the Board.
- Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Responsibilities
- Developing documentation of computer programs according to instructions and specifications;
- Installing and configuring computer systems;
- Maintaining application systems;

- Installing, configuring and monitoring LocalArea Network components;

Qualifications

Auditor

REPORTING LINE: AUDITOR WILL REPORT TO SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder will This is the entry and training grade for this cadre for graduate employees. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of the Senior Internal Auditor.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
- Undertake review of internal control systems and verify operations and activities;
- Implement audit plans as approved by the Audit, Governance and Risk Board Committee;
- Supports in undertaking special audit investigations and forensic audits as necessary;
- Follow up on assigned activities on implementation of audit recommendations in the Board to facilitate effective and efficient operations;
- Prepare periodic draft audit reports for review by the Senior Internal Auditor;
- Follow up and document the implementation of corruption prevention activities in the Board;
- Participate in the periodic review on the Boards assets;
- Review the completeness and accuracy of the annual financial statements;
- Participates in the development and review of audit programs and procedures on a regular basis; and
- Participates in follow up of internal and external audit recommendations.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or relevant field from a recognized university Certified Public Accountants of Kenya- CPA(K)
- Member of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing.

JOB PURPOSE
The Human Resources Management and Development Officer is responsible for support/giving inputs on preparation of organizational analysis and design, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, career and succession planning, and management of employee relations within the Board.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
- Verify information relating to recruitment and performance appraisal documents;
- Process payroll and generates reconciliation reports;
- Prepares training projections and implementation reports;
- Prepares induction program and implementation reports;
- Prepares staff engagement programs;
- Update human resource records in an accurate and timely manner;
- Draft general Human Resource correspondences;
- Process monitor employee leave records and generating timely reports;
- Prepares necessary templates and paperwork in relation to the recruitment and performance appraisal;
- Liaise with the insurance, pension, medical providers in ensuring seamless service provision to the staff;
- Facilitates health and safety programs, HIV/AIDS Prevention, gender, disability mainstreaming, Alcohol, Drug and Substance Abuse;
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
- Have Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
- Be a registered Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
- Higher Diploma Human Resources Management

JOB PURPOSE
The Legal Officer is to ensure the legal documents are updated and that all the correspondents onlegal matters are properly filed and acted upon.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
- Maintaining and updating files systematically and accurately to ensure rapid access and retrieval;
- Filing contracts and court documents;
- Responding to inquiries and drafting letterson specific cases;
- Serving legal documents to clients and otherstakeholders;
- Monitoring progress of contract and courtcases;
- Maintaining and updating master diary forcourt cases;
- Filing documents in court; and
- Preparing reports.
Qualifications
- Have a degree in Law from a recognized university;
- Post graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education
- Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Have a current law practicing certificate;
- Be a Member, Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
