Global IT Project Manager
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Organization, Planning, and Risk Management
- Create and manage long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Delegate tasks on the project to staff best positioned to complete them
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Manage and adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
- Work with team to prepare project work plans
- Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members are clear on their deliverables and timelines
- Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project teams and establishing project budget.
- Ensure all project tasks are according to budget and meet all Jhpiego standards, including deadlines, accountability and good governance
- Proactively report on project status, issues & risks to management
- Communication, Teamwork, and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a point of contact for teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Communicate with management to keep the project aligned with their goals
- Work closely with the team and business owners to identify and maximize opportunities to use technology to improve business processes
- Coordinate with team to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities and facilitate delivery of project objectives
- Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view

Required Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience
- 5 years Project Management experience
- Certifications
- PMP or PRINCE2
- ITIL Foundation
- Experience working in an international non-profit in Africa, Asia /Near East, and the Americas
- Experience working on Enterprise-level IT projects
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Experience working and communicating with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Experience working on a Global team
- Ability to foster teamwork in others
- Ability to manage several major activities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to set, adapt, and manage milestone schedules
- Ability to work agilely to enable team to deliver on schedule
- Ability to monitor and measure project performance
- Ability to track and manage risks
- Experience using Microsoft 365 for collaboration
- Experience with project management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Oral and written language proficiency in Portuguese, French, and/or Spanish
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for budgeting
