Commercial Leasing Broker – Kenya

Purpose of the Role:

  • Responsible for leading the landlord leasing function for CBRE Excellerate Kenya clients.  Build a pipeline of transactions to help Landlords to hit occupancy targets.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Full responsibility for leasing space on behalf of CBRE Excellerate Kenya clients.
  • Responsibility for the leasing process across the CBRE Excellerate clients, from negotiations to ensuring the leases are accurately prepared and signed off.
  • Ensure all renewals and new leases are timeously negotiated and professionally compiled.
  • Responsibility for formulating a leasing strategy & producing accurate status reports.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all tenants and brokers.
  • Compile and distribute vacancy schedule to all brokers.
  • Manage and administer parking leases (monthly and lease based).
  • Maintain and grow broker and client relationships.
  • Preparation of and management of budgets.
  • To offer support to other business units as and when required.
  • Conduct research on rental trends.
  • Proactively marketing of space.
  • Management of 3rd party brokers and leasing consultants.

Qualifications:

  • B Degree in Property, Real Estate or Finance related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years leading deals in a commercial leasing environment, with a strong and proven track record.

Knowledge: 

  • Lease negotiating skills, networking skills, ability to understand contracts, dealing with local and international tenants, well connected in the industry to both brokers and clients.

Contract Manager Kenya

Job Description:

  • CBRE is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Manager to join our team. The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of all contracted work on site, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and fostering effective communication flow between all staff members. Additionally, the Contract Manager will manage all people HR activities and address HR-related concerns in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:

  • Accountable for the planning and delivery of all in-scope and additional contracted work on site.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any discrepancies or issues as they arise.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Facilitate effective communication flow between all staff members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to address contract-related matters and resolve disputes.

HR Management:

  • Manage all people HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and training.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and effectiveness of contracted services.
  • Generate reports and analytics to track contract performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contract management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CCCM) are a plus.
