1.Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution

2. Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poison Board.

3. At least one (1) year work experience as a Pharm Tech

4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, interpreting and processing prescriptions
  • Recording prescriptions
  • Pre-packing and Repacking and writing instructions on labels
  • Counseling patients on usage of drugs
  • Ordering, receiving and maintaining drugs/ medicines
  • Maintaining drugs/ medicines distribution records
  • Providing drug information to medical personnel to promote rational drug usage
  • Determining the actual drugs/ medicines required to treat most common ailments
  • Pharmacovigilance
  • Maintaining drugs/ medicines distribution records
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date drugs/ medicines movement
  • Maintaining drugs/ medicines distribution records
  • Dispensing and compounding medicine under the supervision of a senior officer
  • Receiving, interpreting and processing prescriptions
  • Recording prescriptions
  • Repacking and writing instructions on labels
  • Counseling patients on usage of drugs
  • Stock taking of drugs and medicinal devices.
  • Verifying and maintaining information relating to drugs issued to patients
  • Maintaining drugs/ medicines distribution records
  • Pharmacovigilance
  • Ordering and recording of drugs and other supplies
  • Guiding trainees and support staff
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Receiving, interpreting and processing prescriptions
  • Preparing and submitting reports
  • Providing health education on rational use of drugs/ medicines
  • Receiving complaints and reporting adverse drug reaction
  • Receiving and reporting poor quality medicine
  • Preparation of formulation and compounding of drugs
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

DENTIST

Terms: Permanent & Pensionable

Responsibilities

  • Providing dental care including diagnosing common oral conditions, treating, prescribing and referring;
  • Carrying out minor oral and maxillofacial surgery; prosthetics and conservative dentistry
  • Facilitating admission, disease investigation of patients, report writing and assisting in theatre activities
  • Providing psycho-social interventions
  • Collecting information on dental health information system
  • Training and mentoring Dental Interns and other students:
  • Implementing health projects and programmes
  • Monitoring provision of health treatment and care
  • Undertaking health research

     Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council;
  • Successfully completed one (1) year internship from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council;
  • Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;
  • Certificate in Computer proficiency skills from a recognized institution
