Manager, Finance and Administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate strategic financial plans and budget estimates for the Foundation and provide financial advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial, accounting and operations information across KCBF.
  • Support individual KCBF programmes and enabling functions in financial planning and implementation of plans.
  • Research, prepare and submit the Foundation’s annual corporate budget.
  • Analyse new and existing financial processes to ensure they are carried out in compliance with financial legislation, financial standards and best practices and KCB Group policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes including responding to audit queries on finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies.
  • Coordinate banking services, reconciliation and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports and interpret financial reports, statements, accounting records as well as timely cash flow reporting and management.
  • Develop, review and update finance and accounting policies and procedures for the Foundation.
  • Ensure a proper governance framework for Finance across the Foundation including management of risk profile and internal control measures of the Foundation.
  • Ensure effective management of finance, administration, procurement, asset management and administration support services for KCBF.
  • Ensure tax and statutory compliance; interfacing with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognized university.
  • Fully qualified in CPA (K)/ ACCA (UK) or equivalent qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements analysis, validation, and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task, and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops.

  • Create and Review Technical Architecture Documents for system changes and new systems and solutions.

  • Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Implement and adhere to regular systems maintenance policies and procedures, including change request mechanisms and update schedules to ensure optimum uptime and service availability.
  • Conduct research on software systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Re-activation of dormant FX business from clients who have accounts with KCB.
  • New to Bank acquisition of Importers and Exporter-Profitably winning business from competition.
  • Opening of accounts for new clients.
  • Pro-active Relationship management of clients in portfolio.
  • Periodic client events to appreciate clients as well as update on recent local and global market developments and the impact these have to their business in terms of currency movement.
  • Onboarding clients to ibank to increase efficiency in service delivery.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Drive and monitor performance of sectors under management.
  • Direct sales and marketing through telephone calls with existing clients and new prospects.
  • Manage existing clients’ expectations in regard to foreign exchange and other related services

Job Requirements:

  • Possession of ACI Certificate is added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience in Retail Sales and Relationship Management covering a portfolio of Micro and SME Clientele
  • Sound knowledge of Treasury products and services in Banking Industry with strong commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; persuasive with corporate presence.
