General Manager, Kenya

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the overall P&L of the market, ensuring we are executing across teams to hit our ambitious customer and financial goals
  • Define country strategy and lead a cross-functional business team responsible for customer and financial targets

What you’ll need

  • 7+ years of startup tech, marketing, or business leadership experience in high-performing, direct-to-consumer businesses
  • Strong data-driven approach to funnel conversion metrics, campaign performance and P&L management with strong attention to detail.
  • Natural ability to work across Credit, Operations, Growth and Leadership teams to propose, persuade, and collaborate with on strategic priorities
  • Experience in hiring and managing a team; you work well cross functionally and bring an energetic, fun, and creative approach to the workplace
  • Excellent communications skills (written & oral) to communicate complex issues and nuanced considerations clearly

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • MBA or related advanced degree

Manager, Global Operations Analytics

What you’ll do

  • Create globally consistent, accurate, real-time dashboards for key Collections & Customer Service metrics
  • Set and monitor team and individual performance targets for Collections & Customer Service teams based on historical, market and partner team data
  • Identify anomalous performance in customer service / collections performance, research root causes and propose solutions to optimize team performance
  • Define framework for assessing optimal mix of internal and external resources

Lead Engineer, Markets (Kenya)

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a team of Backend Software Engineers and KE Engineering Manager to execute on current roadmap
  • Recruit, mentor, coach and level-up 5 to 10 Engineers
  • Effectively partner with Product and Program management team to achieve Key Results
  • Review design documents, do code reviews and weigh in on tech implementation choices
  • Support and collaborate with cross functional teams (Customer Experience, Product, Program, Data, Credit, and BI) to ship scalable software solutions
  • Work on High Level Technical approach and feasibility review for new key initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features as defined in the Product roadmap
  • Review design documents, perform code reviews, and weigh in on implementation choices from other technical teams
  • Collaborate and support with cross functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development) to ship scalable software solutions
  • Continually improve our codebase with clean and efficient code as well as solving problems using the most appropriate technology

  • Be responsible for sourcing and full-cycle recruiting for technical roles and other corporate roles as needed
  • Serve as an internal consultant by conducting training to Hiring Managers and employees, coaching interviewers on best practices and making sure we’re delivering a consistently exceptional candidate experience.
  • Provide all candidates and Hiring Managers with an amazing experience by being open, honest, and friendly throughout the process

  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced start-up environment
