Finance Assistant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce/ accounting with 3 years of experience in project accounting.
  • Must be a certified accountant for the last three years.
  • Knowledge and experience working in donor funded projects.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Evidence of previous generation of quality and timely project financial reports.
  • High level of integrity, values, ethics and competence.
  • Demonstrate high level of creativity, innovation and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge in donor compliant, budget reviews and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information to be used in preparation of financial statements.
  • Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Responsible for reviewing support documents received from Project officers.
  • Preparing payment requisitions and relevant documents and processing for payment.
  • Ensuring timely payments of monthly bills and utilities to vendors, suppliers and clients.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and follow up on any outstanding items.
  • Continuous support to the finance officer in budget and forecast activities
  • Support Finance officer when called upon to analyze expenditures and provide budget reviews
  • Ensuring that all inventory and assets records are well maintained in the assets register, periodically reviewed and verified in line with the organization and partner’s policies
  • Supporting finance team and the manager in preparing for audit by providing all necessary documentations
  • Ensuring that vat listings are maintained and applications for exemptions submitted in a timely manner
  • Ascertain that all financial reporting deadlines are met in accordance with the GF guidelines.
  • Scanning vouchers and Uploading surrenders in the Navision portal once they have been approved fully.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
  • Maintaining filling systems
  • Support by participating on the monthly stock take with accountants and departmental heads, review of variances and undertaking a stock valuation and sharing the report with the relevant managers
  • Performing other office duties assigned by the supervisor

Driver (1 position)

Qualifications

  • Must be 35- years and above with a minimum of 7 years. NGO experience will be an added advantage especially in ASAL and remote areas.
  • Minimum of c- in KCSE
  • Poses a valid driving license class BCE
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Experience in defensive driving is a plus
  • Must have undergone first Aid training.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • Must be willing to work in coastal region for long hours

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate AMURT designated vehicle as per the vehicle policy to various scheduled destinations.
  • Maintain vehicle movement logs and use records.
  • Ensure timely service and maintenance of the vehicle
  • Ensure the project vehicle has a valid insurance and communicate in advance of expiry.
  • Inform the project manager in case of any break down.
  • Coordinate vehicle movement within the area of operation in line with project needs

Project Officer/ Data Assistant (1 Position)

Qualifications

  • Diploma in social sciences, public health or equivalent.
  • Degree will be an added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience working in the health sector, particularly in TB projects and lung diseases
  • Good understanding of the state of Tuberculosis in Kenya, and globally
  • Experience working in Arid & Semi-arid areas highly preferred, especially Marsabit/Samburu counties
  • Experience working in donor funded health projects, especially Global Fund projects
  • Good training, facilitation and project coordination skills
  • Excellent community mobilization skills and experience working with MOH, County government and other partners.
  • In depth understanding of M&E systems applicable in health and TB programming

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

  • Data entry of Sample referral forms, community TB data-Contact tracing, Treatment interruption tracing and referral forms into Navision online portal
  • Scanning of all community TB reports, and other reports from the field and re sharing back to the respective Project officers
  • Ensure Accurate and regular data entry and review in accordance with Global fund guidelines
  • Share weekly updated program data with the programs team
  • Use Project indicator data to monitor achievement towards objectives, report any shortcomings and gaps in a timely manner
  • Support in proposal development as necessary
  • Act as focal point for activity info and other quantitative reporting
  • Ensure timely submission of data as per GF guidelines
  • Ensure that data received from the field team is correctly entered into the program tracker on regular basis, gather, consolidate and clarify errors and clear the program data
  • Maintain and ensure safe, ethical and accurate documentations, filling, storing and usage of information

Registered Pharmaceutical Technologist

Job Description
Reporting to Clinic in charge, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing, patient counselling and proper handling of pharmaceutical supplies for all orders and to provide effective pharmaceutical services to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with Pharmacy & Poisons Board with a current professional practice license
  • Member of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association
  • A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting
  • Previous use and Exposure to hospital information management systems will be an added advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions appropriately and offer the required guidance as necessary
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Values of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders delivered to the Pharmacy Department in accordance with laid down procedures and documentation processes.
  • Effectively manages dispensing of all drugs and other commodities
  • Checks and advice on the expiry of drugs and disposal of the same.
  • Ensures proper management of Pharmacy Records in the HMIS system
  • Ensures effective stock controls and conduct regular /monthly stock takes.
  • Conduct Pharmacy Dispensing and Counsel patients on drug intake schedule
  • Attends weekly clinic update meetings and share pharmacy progress reports
  • Prepares Comprehensive Pharmacy Monthly reports and forward the same to AMURT Management
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned by Management from time to time.
