Business Data Analyst -Digital Lending

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze the various customer segments with and advise the business on areas of improvement.
  • Conduct market research and come up with new products.
  • Test and engineering product process flows.
  • Support the Business in enhancing the customer experience through research, surveys and doing analysis to find out the customers’ needs.
  • Facilitate the bank in minimizing the risks in the channel driven lending business.
  • Provide intermediation between the IT Support and the various customer service points.
  • Ensure proper reporting, documentation and review to determine that lending to the respective segments is within acceptable risk.
  • Ensure all staff are up to date with product knowledge, product use, and related product application and enlightened with the business changes and dynamics.
  • Prepare performance and business trends reports.
  • Conduct digital lending product Performance and trends and give insights on the industry and future direction of the industry.
  • Champion growth of digital lending products by identifying differentiated customer outreach approach.
  • Deal with customers’ queries concerning digital lending products and advising the business on how to improve service delivery to our clients.
  • Support branches in all areas pertaining digital lending.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Business Administration,
  • At least 4 years of  relevant experience.
  • Proficiency and Practical experience in data analytics and use of relevant MIS, BI & MS Office applications and statistical computer languages e.g. SQL, R, Python.

Quality Analyst-Digital Lending

Primary responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality of the sprint planning process by ensuring best practices are adhered to in the process. 
  • Take part in story kickoffs alongside the other relevant team members to ensure the entry criteria into development is attained. 
  • Take part in desk checks, to ensure that a story, task meets the minimal acceptance criteria before it is said to be done. 
  • Write automated tests to facilitate regression testing in the event of the addition of new features that could potentially break the existing features. 
  • Perform manual exploratory testing. 
  • Perform automated load testing.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Business Administration,
  • At least 4 years of  relevant experience working experience as an intermediate quality analyst.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Finance Business Partner

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and guidance on key decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly management reports and ad hoc analyses, to provide insights into business performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial and strategic goals.
  • Participate in the development of business cases and investment proposals to support growth initiatives.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to drive efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies, including analysis of customer profitability and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior finance staff as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and auditors.
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of assigned departments, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance financial results.
  • Participate in the development of long-term strategic plans for the organization, including financial projections and analysis.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of different scenarios on business performance and financial outcomes.
  • Provide support and analysis for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including developing financial models and providing guidance to department heads on budget preparation.
  • Analyze and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Monitor and report on industry trends, benchmarking against competitors and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; CPA-k/ACCA required.
  • 8+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a business partnering role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with financial modeling preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other financial software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

BI Engineer

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development  and implementation of  Business intelligence reports, dashboards and other solutions that ensure business optimization and requirements fulfillment.
  • Analyze business/use case requirements from BI analysts to determine operational problems, define data modeling requirements, gather and validate information, apply judgment and statistical tests and develop data structures to support the generation of business insights and strategy.
  • Build visualizations to summarize and present key messages to business and other stakeholders.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Locate and define new business and technological process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in designing and coding reports/dashboards according to user specification with the key objective of delivering reports that will assist in decision making and control.
  • Provide test interfaces for users to test the reports and dashboards before being put on the production environment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation/manuals on system configuration or setup.
  • Carry out technical user training as required to enable users interpret BI reports.
  • Secure BI solutions by putting adequate controls and restrict access to programs by users in accordance to the requirements of the bank.
  • Assist in rolling out Business intelligence solutions to stakeholders.
  • Prepare system definition/specification by the users highlighting technical requirements.
  • Carry-out analysis of requirements and recommend solutions to address user requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of  a program of continuous improvement of BI processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, practices and all internal processes and procedures as per the relevant manuals and comply with all relevant external legislation and regulations with regard to Compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that as a staff you actively contribute to the department/division attaining a “Satisfactory” rating in both internal and external audit by performing your role to the required standards and adhering to all internal processes and procedures as per relevant manuals, policies and regulations of the Bank.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related degree analytical field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in BI development, systems.
  • Must have designed BI reports, BI dashboards or BI systems which should have implemented successfully.
  • Excellent knowledge of database management systems e.g. Oracle, MS-SQL.
  • Proficient at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Knowledge of ETL and data integration tools.
  • Experience in analysis, design and development of efficient business systems.
    Strong analytical skills.
