Senior Assistant Records Management Officer

Responsible for ensuring security and safety of all records and documents including appropriately filing,
maintaining and updating records.

The officer will report to the Manager Human Resource and Administration and will be responsible for:

  • Implementing records management programs in line with the Public Archives and Documentation Service Act;
  • Ensuring mail and documents received are appropriately filed and marked to action officers;
  • Opening files and file indexing;
  • Ensuring security of information/files/documents in the secretariat and registry archives;
  • Up-dating and maintaining up-to-date file movement records;
  • Participating in disposing of records in line with the Board’s records retention/disposal schedule; and
  • Undertaking classification and indexing of records, media conversion, scanning/microfilming.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-

  1. Have a minimum of four (4) years work experience in a relevant field;
  2. Have Diploma in Information Science Management, Records Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Be proficient in computer application;
  4. Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
  5. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

(JOB GRADE KFC 7) –

JOB REF NO: KFC/HRA/SADO/2021-1 POST

Job Purpose

The Archives and Documentation Officers are responsible for establishing and maintaining a repository for Kenya’s film records and archiving and documenting the same.

The officer will report to the Principal Archives and Documentation Officer and will be responsible for:

  1. Networking with film studios and facility houses;
  2. Collecting data on technical factors influencing film-makers in their choice of destinations for production and post-production services;
  3. Identifying suitable locations for film shooting;
  4. Taking part in sensitization of clients and stakeholders on permission rights and clearance for film makers and producers;
  5. Compiling information on available production facilities, location, crew and shooting spaces; and
  6. Collecting data on changing trends in film production and exploring new opportunities for location services.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-

  1. Have a minimum of four (4) years work experience in a relevant field;

Senior Assistant Film Development Officer-Liaison

 (JOB GRADE KFC 7)-JOB REF NO: KFC/HRA/SAFDO-L/2021

Job Purpose

The Film Development Officers are responsible for spearheading capacity development and developing incentives to enhance the growth of the film industry.

The officer will be reporting to the Manger Liaison and will be responsible for:

  1. Networking with film studios and facility houses;
  2. Collecting data on technical factors influencing film-makers in their choice of destinations for production and post-production services;
  3. Identifying suitable locations for film shooting;
  4. Taking part in sensitization of clients and stakeholders on permission rights and clearance for film makers and producers;
  5. Compiling information on available production facilities, location, crew and shooting spaces; and
  6. Collecting data on changing trends in film production and exploring new opportunities for location services.

Senior Human Resource Assistant

(JOB GRADE KFC 7)-JOB REF NO: KFC/HRA/SHRA/2021

Job Purpose

Human Resource Officers are responsible for organizational analysis and design, formulation, periodic review and implementation of HR policies recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, career and succession planning and development, separation and employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee industrial relations and performance management.

The officer will be reporting to the Manager Human Resource and Administration and will be responsible for:

  1. Drafting routine correspondences;
  2. Collecting and keeping bio data for newly employed staff;
  3. Responding to application for employment letters;
  4. Updating staff compliment and establishment;
  5. Processing employee employment details;
  6. Processing and computation of all categories of leave;
  7. Collecting and collating data for training needs analysis;
  8. Sorting, filing and dispatching relevant HR mails and other correspondence documents; and
  9. Updating the Human Resource information systems data

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade an officer must:-

  1. Have a minimum of four (4) years work experience in a relevant field;
  2. Have Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution;
  3. Be Proficient in computer applications;
  4. Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
  5. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

INTEGRITY CLEARANCE:

In addition to the qualifications set above, shortlisted candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance certificates/letters of good standing from the following;

  1. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  2. Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
  3. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
  4. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
  5. Credit Bureau Reference.

TERMS OF SERVICE

An attractive remunerative package, commensurate to qualifications, experience and responsibilities and in line with government guidelines will be offered to the successful applicant. The appointment is on a permanent and pensionable terms.
