Assistant Manager – Corporate Dealer

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The overall job purpose is to ensure Management of the corporate dealing & Sales function within the department as well as co-ordinate branch sales activities with view of ensuring that Corporate dealing budget is delivered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning for Marketing FX Products – 20%
  • Execution of Bank’s FX strategy through branches – 20%
  • Co-ordination of Corporate dealer meetings with clients – 15%
  • Handle day –to- day treasury related queries from branches/clients – 15%
  • Managing and supervising corporate dealers so as to ensure they are proactive in executing their call reports -10%
  • Deputizing the Head of Treasury and assisting him in managing, coaching and developing a high-performance team to meet set deliverables – 10%

Knowledge; Skills and Experience required for this Role

  • Business graduate from an accredited University
  • Proven experience of at least five years in a senior position in a Forex Department in a reputable bank
  • Professional qualifications in ACCA/CPA/CFA/ ACI dealing certificate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • MBA in Finance / Strategic Management would be an added advantage

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Main scope of the job is growing the bank’s market share in the financial institutions space by establishing and pro-actively maintain FI relationships (global) as well as engaging our correspondent banks to deepen existing relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Support – 30%

  • Negotiation of credit limits for Treasury trading and Trade Services from banks
  • Preliminary preparation of financial analytic documentation for allocation of limits to counterparties
  • Driving utilization of credit limits and efficient payments clearing by other FIs to grow wallet share
  • Compilation and documentation of on-boarding new FI and Correspondent banking relationships
  • Preparation of documentation on FCY clearing accounts from reputable correspondent banks
  • Support group subsidiaries through business referrals of financial services and bank’s entire network on correspondent banking services.

Relationship Management – 35%

  • Maintain constant engagements with counterparties for vibrant relationships and business opportunities
  • Identifying key growth drivers and opportunities through client engagements
  • Participate in networking events hosted by counterparties to leverage on collaborative partnerships and brand visibility
  • Deliver excellent customer experience in supporting clients for increased market share and NPS
  • Ensure all queries and complaints pertaining to FIs and correspondents banks are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

Compliance – 20%

  • Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Tasked with ensuring annual due-diligence reviews are conducted and continuous updates thereof
  • Tasked with managing KYC registries on behalf of the bank
  • Working closely with credit risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate against business risks associated with correspondent banking.
  • Developing and continuously reviewing business operational policies and procedures ensuring their compliance.
  • Handle all aspects of Records Management within the department
  • Conduct Industry/ Market/Competitor analysis relevant to CB products
  • Ensure compliance with KYC/KYT/AML regulations
  • Ensure adherence to FATCA /OFAC /UN sanctions

Operational & Sustainability:

  • Ensure that all KYC related documents are kept in safe custody
  • Responsible for processes leading to successful completion of KYC documentation
  • Facilitating creation of internal accounts for Nostro/Vostro accounts for seamless operations
  • Preparation of internal memos for approval
  • Ensure initiation/acceptance of RMA requests  and updating of SSIs within agreed timelines

Senior Operations Officer

JOB SUMMARY

  • Branch operations supervisor; authorize and supervise both teller and customer service transactions, managing branch cash levels and ensure all customer instructions are accurately executed by branch officers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations – 40%

  • Support succession plan by being a proxy to Assistant manager service delivery and customer service
  • Authorize all customer instructions and system related entries within the approved limits and ensure all KYC requirements are met before transactions are processed.
  • Carry out the role of bank signatory within the approved limit.
  • Custodian of vault, safety deposit lockers, ATM and branch keys
  • Ensure optimum levels of cash are maintained in the branch, manage cash within authorized limits and repatriate any excess cash to CBK.
  • Reconciliation of branch internal accounts and general ledgers on a daily basis and ensure exceptions are escalated as per policy.
  • Ensure 100% revenue collection in the branch
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Accounts Management; Verification of account opening, closing and amendments of static data documents, ensuring proper filling is done and all the FDR receipts and the account opening Documents are under lock and key.
  • Submit Risk and compliance self-assessment(RCSA) report to supervisor for Review

Customer Service/Experience – 30%

  • Timely resolution of customer queries and complaints in line with the set SLA and TAT
  • Log in and Update customer enquiries on CRM portal
  • Safeguard and promote the bank’s image at all times
  • Facilitate preparation of balance and audit confirmation reports
  • Avail customer instruments such as Prepaid, Debit, and Credit PINs within agreed time lines.
  • Fixed Deposits; Ensure booking and liquidation of fixed deposits and receipt of properly mandated instructions from the relevant personnel, to call clients on FD related issues
  • Safeguard and promote the Bank’s image at all times.

Audit and Risk – 20%

  • Ensure audit and risk ready environment on a daily basis to sustain branch business and prevent operational losses in the branch
  • Strict adherence and compliance to AML guidelines of the ban
  • Adherence to product guidelines and internal operational policies and procedures
  • Incident reporting as per the set up escalation matrix
  • Comply with respective Money Laundering prevention procedures and be alert at all times to unusual activity and report to assistant manager, BM, Risk and Head-Branch Operations
  • Generation and filing of reports
  • Reviewing the key register, ensuring that the key register is up-to-date with corresponding key holders

People management – 10%

  • Supervise tellers and customer service officer work
  • Organize and conduct service delivery and operations meetings in the absence of SDM
  • Teller, Customer Experience Advisor & SDM proxy.
