Corporate Finance Analyst – SBM Capital Markets Ltd
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform share valuations, financial modelling and apply investment appraisals techniques for mergers and acquisitions, bond issues, IPOs and private equity
• Supervise the due diligence including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, and risk rating verification
• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines, internal policies and procedures
• Monitor client’s credit worthiness by obtaining periodical financial and sectoral information and prepare credit review paper
• Prepare investment memorandum, reports, credit papers, teasers, proposals to external clients and/or management
• Deliver high standards of credit and investment analysis for complex transactions
• Prepare reports in the required format for submission to Management and Credit Committee
• Articulate recommendation in a clear, concise and informed manner
• Contribute to the structuring of transactions and provide input on changes to credit policies
• Ensure proper filing, scan and data storage as per Company’s requirement
• Ensure high level of service standards including level of ethics and integrity in line with SBM values
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• University degree in Banking/Economics/Accounting/Finance or related field and/or any other relevant professional qualifications
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance and financial analysis and/or any other relevant field
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
• Excellent reporting skills (documents and presentations)
• Knowledge of MS Excel, including pivots, macros and formulas
• Knowledge of financial analysis and accounting concepts
• Understanding of economic, market and legal environments
• Sound knowledge of practices, procedures and products within the Credit Business arena
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines
• Outgoing personality, self-motivated and self-driven
Risk Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in validating that risk management is effective in all functional areas and that all significant risks are being recognized and effectively managed on a timely manner
- Assist the Board and Senior Management with the identification of risk appetite tolerance levels
- Work with operating units to facilitate risk and control self-assessment exercises and mitigate identified control weaknesses through the creation of appropriate action plans
- Proactively identify and address risk issues and weaknesses in existing policies and processes and recommend improvements
- Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators
- Provide adequate support in the preparation of reports, presentations, and forums
- Write minutes of meetings within set timeframe
- Monitor business incidents to ensure they are appropriately recorded with a comprehensive root cause analysis and monitor action tracking until closure
- Compile risk registers for all functional areas at operational level
- Assist in the implementation of appropriate systems and controls to measure and report against those tolerance levels
- Assist in communicating the risk framework and methodology to all management levels and to employees
- Conduct training in respect of effective and sustainable processes of risk identification, quantification, and monitoring to management
- Periodical report to Senior Management and the Board Risk Management Committee
- Contribute to any of the different areas of the team namely: Portfolio & Credit Risk, Market Risk and carry out any other cognate duties

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Finance, Accounting, IT, Risk Management or any other related areas/professional qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience within a Risk Management function in a Financial Institution
- Good mastery of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong research and analytical capabilities, with a quantitative bias and a focus on quality
- Ability to appropriately produce reports in relevant formats
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Excellent team player and interpersonal skills
