2022 – Graduate – Wealth Management – Kenya – (2100035823)

What you’ll do over 18 months

  • International induction – these are classroom sessions, case studies, and tailored technical training split by business functions.
  • 12 month training rotation – you’ll spend twelve months in Wealth Management where you’ll learn how to engage with clients. You’ll broaden your experience with rotations into areas including Risk, Product/Segments, Distribution/Front Line, and lastly Digital. 
  • 6 month business rotation – your last rotation will add to your knowledge of the product and client transaction lifecycle. It will also give you exposure to areas such as Funds, Wealth Propositions and Solutions, and Investment Strategy. It’s your chance to find the team you fit into best and begin your Standard Chartered career.

As a Retail Banking International Graduate, you’ll enjoy the broadest possible exposure to our key businesses. This could mean working within our digital team to determine our future client experience or within our customer experience area, looking at what drives client satisfaction. You could work within our product and services teams to understand and develop new client propositions or even within our risk and controls management areas.

You’ll be fully supported to fulfill your potential, follow your passions with our specialist teams where you can:

  • Manage and contribute to a revenue generating business
  • Lead client campaign and profitability analysis
  • Manage key strategic projects that impact different channels, segments and regions
  • Contribute to the design and development of global client acquisition programmes
  • Contribute to the development of Client Value Propositions
  • Initiate, coordinate, monitor and deliver projects
  • Develop, deploy and measure new marketing campaigns

In Retail Bank, you’ll learn the importance of cross bank collaboration, to deliver projects and programmes.

Our 10-week Global Internship Programme allows you to work directly on real world problems to hone your skills, create lasting relationships and learn about your strengths. The programme is intended to create a pipeline to our International Graduate Programme and other full-time roles. 

What you’ll experience 
• A 10-week structured Internship programme, that typically takes place April – August  
• A country induction, formal welcome to the Bank and get to know your peers 
• On-the-job learning  
• Be paired with a ‘buddy’ from the International Graduate Programme, to set you up for success and provide insights into the International Graduate programme, fondly known as the IG Programme 

Can I get onto a graduate role from the Internship Programme? 
• High performing Interns will be eligible for placement on our International Graduate Programme 
• For Financial Markets, there’s an opportunity to be considered for other full-time entry-level roles as well
