ICT Officer

Our new client a hospital located in Nairobi Upperhill with two other branches in upper end Nairobi estates is seeking to employ an ICT Officer (Support). Ladies are encouraged to apply

Job Purpose

To provide ICT technical support to Nairobi based staffs by troubleshooting, diagnosing and taking appropriate action to ensure staffs are seamlessly using ICT equipment and related services.

Duties

1. Troubleshoot, mitigate and maintain system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and other computer related issues;
2. Integrate security, physical control solutions for all confidential data and systems;
3. Monitor and ensure optimum performance of all ICT devices and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users;
4. Take staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, resolve issues or to help set up systems;
5. Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers;
6. Support the roll-out of new applications and set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues while responding to users within agreed time limits to call-outs;

Required Qualifications

1. One must have a bachelor of Science (BSC) Computer Science or Information Technology or Business Information Technology;
2. At least Two years proven experience as an ICT support with a clear understanding of the role expectations;
3. Ability to prioritise and plan workload to ensure compliance with deadlines and timeframes;
4. Ability to understand, troubleshoot and resolve software issues;
5. Ability to understand hospital systems and associated system integration and relationships;
6. Practical knowledge of computer operations and experience in supporting Microsoft operating;
7. Systems and office applications, telecommunications equipment and other ICT hardware. Knowledge, experience and understanding of a networking IP environment;
8. Ability to work under issues and work (system) related pressure, work as fast as possible in dealing with problems and achieve immediate results in all situations;
9. An understanding of what high level customer service represents.

Salary
