Operational Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of client’s static data in the system. 
  • Daily processing of client instructions such as contributions, withdrawal, redemption of units and reconciliation of client accounts daily.   
  • Prepare and dispatch instructions to the custodians.
  • Liaise with custodians for resolution of reconciliation issues. 
  • End of day processes for purposes of generating pricing. 
  • Analyse, consolidate and present production reports weekly and monthly. 
  • Dispatch of client statements. 
  • Participate and attend scheduled trustee meetings. 
  • Maintain log of client complaints for onward resolution. 
  • Prepare and dispatch instructions to the custodians.
  • Generate agent commission monthly statements for onward approval. 
  • Generate reports on regulatory fees for payment. 
  • Build and maintain strategic alliances for business growth with intermediaries and industry stakeholders. 
  • Constantly updating clients on new and existing products. 
  • Liaising with the various departments to ensure timely service delivery to the clients. 
  • Provide the necessary documents and ensure returns to the regulators are filled within the required timeframes. 
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned to him during this transition period. 

Requirements

  • Must have a Business related or equivalent Degree from a recognized institution. 
  • Certification or pursuing either CFA, CPA, CISA, CCMS, ICIFA, ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of unit trust operations
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Creative approach, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions. 
  • Understanding of the working environment /competitors 
  • Technical competence in asset management operations Have knowledge of the regulatory environment and have a thorough understanding of the Capital Markets products and services.

Head Digital Channels

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to enhance the Bank’s IT channel operations, ensuring that it meets the needs of our customers and remains competitive in the market. 
  • Manage resourcing requirements, vendors, partners, and Budgets to ensure uninterrupted digital channels operations. 
  • Manage the IT Digital Channels team, providing direction and guidance to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Work closely with other departments within the Bank to ensure that IT Digital Channels are integrated effectively across all business units. 
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure that the Bank’s IT Digital Channels are optimized to deliver the best customer experience. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with telecom providers in various countries to provide efficient support for the mobile wallet and mobile lending platform offerings. 
  • Oversee the Integration and Operation of third-party payment services such as Western Union, MoneyGram, RIA Thunes, etc
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of all IT channel operations services, including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Agent Banking, Debit Credit and Pre-paid Card Systems, ATM’s and Cash deposit machines, Point of Sale acquiring services, and Merchant management. 
  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect the Bank’s IT channel operations from cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Technical or a Related field from a recognized university.
  • Professional Qualifications in IT is required.
  • 10 years Technology experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in Senior IT Leadership, working with diverse group of IT professionals and expertise levels.
  • 5 years’ experience in IT First Line Support and Application maintenance.
  • 5 years Banking experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in any of the Digital Channels discipline areas including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Agent Banking, Debit Credit and Prepaid Card Systems, ATM’s and Cash deposit machines, Point of Sale acquiring services, and Merchant management.
  • 3 years’ experience in Project Leadership with a flavor of digital channels implementations.
