Economic Inclusion Officer
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Entrepreneurship, Social sciences, or community development.
- At least 3 years’ experience in implementation of entrepreneurship, 2 of which should be in Inclusion/livelihood working with vulnerable populations.
- Experience with Youth targeted programmes and human rights programmes will be an added advantage.
- Experience implementing the livelihood approaches used in humanitarian programming including the graduation model approach, Entrepreneurship school with a gender lens, poverty alleviation programs mentoring refugees on livelihood interventions etc will be an added advantage.
- Experience in concept and proposal development
- Experience in development of quality narrative reports
Skills and Competences
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development
- Ability to manage confidentiality in the effort to protect beneficiaries’ dignity and rights to privacy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and report writing
- Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate options including planning skills
- Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software

Business Development Officer
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, social sciences or relevant field, with a strong preference for international development.
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience, 2 of which there is a demonstrated success in donor relationship cultivation and the development of award winning proposals , particularly in forced displacement, refugee rights, women’s empowerment and economic inclusion sectors.
- Demonstrated experience working with Individual giving, institutional funders, corporates, private foundations and non-traditional funders.
Skills and Competences
- Superior communication and writing skills with demonstrated proposal writing experience that resulted in successful (funded) proposals.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to effectively research, analyze and disseminate analysis on potential funding opportunities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Computer skills including word processing (Microsoft Word); spreadsheets (Excel); electronic communication systems (Outlook, Instant Messaging, Skype, etc.), and Salesforce or other similar database systems.

GBV Project Officer
Required Qualifications
- Applicants should have either a bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Community Development Studies, Social Science and/or other related fields of study.
Desirable Experiences
- Minimum of 3 years’ previous job experience related to GBV prevention and response.
- Demonstrated experience in working directly with refugees who are survivors of GBV
- MUST have an in-depth technical expertise on Gender Based Violence related issues, response and prevention and a demonstrated understanding of a survivor-centered approach.
- MUST have experience with operationalizing GBV principles, knowledge of international humanitarian standards for GBV prevention and response.
- Experience working with Gender Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) preferred.
Required Skills and Competences
- Proficiency in English and Swahili
- Computer literacy a must with strong knowledge of Access, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work in a team, maintain respect for diversity, uphold integrity, respect, and accountability
- Self-starter with an ability to work with minimal supervision, in a culturally diverse team
- Excellent Analytical, Communication and Report writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations with local staff, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders
- Ability to maintain one’s composure while under pressure
- Knowledge of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)
