AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital is a 130-bed level five teaching and referral hospital based in Elgeyo Marakwet County about 80 km north of Eldoret. The hospital does 44,000 outpatient visits yearly and about 2000 operations yearly. The medical training college has a population of over 350 students. The hospital whose vision is to be a leading Christian institution providing efficient and affordable healthcare services seeks to recruit the following:

1. Procurement Officer:

 This position will be responsible for implementing the Hospital’s sourcing, tendering, and purchasing activities to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and value for money in line with the Hospital’s objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide support and guidance to user departments in the development of specifications.
  2. Ensure efficient and cost-effective sourcing and delivery of materials, services, and/or equipment to user departments.
  3. Lead supplier pre-qualification, selection and development processes, quotation, and tender processes in a timely and transparent manner.
  4. Contribute to lead-time reduction and demand management initiatives to optimize inventory levels.
  5. Ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely procurement and delivery of all supply services.
  6. Manage the development and preparation of contracts and ensure all contract renewal reviews are done on time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business – Supply Chain Management option, or any other related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain management. Hospital/healthcare experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a full member of KISM

2. Business Development and Marketing Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Take the lead and oversee marketing of Hospital products and services to prospective customers and partners.
  2. Develop and manage of annual Marketing & Business Development plans
  3. Manage and review local markets, developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies
  4. Explore new clients markets
  5. Assess the changing customer needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with bias to Sales and Marketing, or any other related field
  • Member of Marketing Society of Kenya or related professional body
  • Skills in digital marketing will be an added advantage
  • Ability to manage hospitals’ web page and other online platform
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Marketing, sales or Business development in a reputable and busy organization. Hospital/healthcare experience will be an added advantage
