Regional Vendor Journey Manager

Main Responsibilities


• Map the end-to-end vendor journey with a view to position Jumia as the most preferred vendor partner for e-commerce and on-demand services
• Proactively identify vendor pain points through a culture of deep dive to ensure appropriate improvement
initiatives can be activated
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization such as vendor self-service, automation of vendor
experience agents and criteria for delisting
• Continuously enhance product quality through regular reporting of metrics such as out of stock, drop off and
return pick up service level agreements
• Create a knowledge-centre to ensure navigation of critical information on vendor centre and a one-stop shop
for vendor communication tools

Required Skills & Qualifications


● A Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or social sciences
● 3 – 5 years of operations experience in a similar capability; with experience in process mapping and project
management

Main Responsibilities

• Lead key projects across that vendor experience levels are optimized and are best-in-class across our markets; positioning Jumia as the preferred partner of choice for e-commerce, on-demand and payment services.
• Develop a thorough understanding of vendor experience enhancements required at country andfunctional leadership level; undertake feasibility assessments and where relevant, roll out through clearly defined project milestones.
• Define the vendor communications and training toolkit that is easily adaptable across markets
• Ensure regular audit and quality control touchpoints are undertaken to ensure continuous improvement of vendor experience.

What’s this job all about?
As a Strategic vendor services associate at Jumia, you will be responsible for one of the core activities in the key accounts team; growing and transforming our business with brands and strategic partners. 

This position is currently one of the positions where Jumia Group is investing the most to grow the pool of talent. We expect the best performers to be the next wave of key account managers, head of categories in the company. You will focus on managing accounts end-to-end for our top brands and vendors.

From the very essence of commercial, to operations or even co-organization of Jumia key commercial events, your scope will provide you will all levers to drive your Brand(s) toward the right direction. This role is for top performers looking for close collaboration with senior commercial leaders to help accelerate their commercial careers.

The main challenges are described as below:

Main Responsibilities

1. Catalog creation:

  • Creating best in class content as per guidelines
  • Optimizing content for Jumia and external search (Google etc.)
  • Ensuring products are in the correct categories and filters
  • managing item variation relationships (display alternate sizes & colors)

2. Reporting:

  • Delivering regular reports on activity and data quality

3. Commercial and marketing planning:

  • Delivering strategic commercial and marketing initiatives, from planning to execution and analysis
  • Leading the collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment process
  • Finance and Logistics
  • Resolve finance and logistics problems

Required Skills

  • 2+ year’s experience in Retail / FMCG, 2+ year’s experience in consulting/ banking, 2+ year’s experience in ecommerce
  • Top 1% Business / Engineering Schools and Universities 
  • Action oriented and performance driven 
  • Strong management and inter-personal skills
  • Good analytical and data management skills
