Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Partner Relationships, you will be responsible for onboarding and managing the relationship with key suppliers. You will also be responsible for the P&L of all the allocated category accounts and will be expected to report on this.
Additionally, your key responsibilities will include;
- Strategic Alignment: Championing the development of the category purchasing and pricing strategies in the organization and ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Financial budget management: Projecting, managing, and analyzing the category and sub-category budget, to achieve maximum business category penetration (revenue), mix change, and profitability.
- Category Performance Management: Creating efficiencies in the company’s day-to-day category purchasing activities and ensuring that each category is meeting the performance standards. The successful candidate will analyze existing data, map this with historical data and future expected outcomes to develop a roadmap, and ensure that the category managers are always working on the most impactful projects.
- Operational Excellence: Spearhead improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships, lower the cost of doing business and improve the turnaround time of orders. Planning, creating, communicating, and overseeing the execution of all commercial category campaigns in liaison with the Sales & Marketing Team.
- Demand planning: Using available technology tools (ERP and tableau), the Category Manager is required to accurately forecast purchasing of all stock items.
- Working Capital Management: Balancing inventory levels and supplier credit terms, ensure that a minimum level of cash is tied up in inventory at any one time. The Category Manager will also need to work with the warehouse, sales, and finance to determine the disposal of slow-moving items
- Portfolio Gap analysis: You will constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the problem through quantitative and qualitative measures, both in MVPs and after full release
- Product Range management, i.e., Key vendor management, joint business strategy, planning and execution with strategic vendors, supplier segmentation based on supply criticality, annual spend, supply risk etc. Create a new brand/vendor acquisition and retention strategy.
- Market Research: Determine best possible suppliers of goods and services required by evaluating cost and service provided
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring that the Copia Catalogue offering is continuously updated to reflect market availability and to increase sales across all product offerings. The Category Manager is responsible for reducing non-deliveries to customers due to Out Of Stocks.
- Ad-hoc procurement related projects as assigned from time to time
- Providing leadership, mentoring, and on the job training of Category Leads.
Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role as Purchasing/Category Manager within FMCG, e-commerce or retail.
- You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills visual, written, and verbal
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry with an interest in market dynamics along with an intuitive business sense.
- Strong local knowledge, a deep understanding of consumers and a strong commercial acumen.
- A good understanding of vendor management software.
- You have the ability to network, gain trust with co-workers, open to new ideas, and can deliver a decision in a professional manner
- You have problem solving skills- identify and resolve problems in a creative, collaborative, and timely manner with a view of the big picture and making difficult decisions
- You are excellent in Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools to drive and influence business decisions
- You must be able to work in a highly demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is key.

You will use data to create deep insights that can be used to make better strategic business decisions and to create effective marketing campaigns.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Using predictive modeling to identify future Customer behavior and generate ideas for marketing campaigns
- Creating and maintaining living dashboards that effectively summarize the Copia Remote Shopping business key performance indicators and other key metrics
- Analyzing, reporting, and communicating key metrics and insights for Copia Remote Shopping.
- Evaluate performance KPIs including sales, market share, marketing spends, sales team performance, customer retention & LTV, ROI among other metrics.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales & Procurement to optimize ROI and margin profile within Copia’s remote shopping business.
- Using data and insights to define and segment Copia remote shopping customer profiles and spending habits.
- Work with Digital Marketing to better understand the Remote Shopping online shopper and develop digital shopper profile within remote shopping categories.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing to provide expertise on digital/eCommerce and inform innovation given digital consumer behaviors within Copia product categories.
- Identify trends, insights, whitespace opportunities, and best practices for both eCommerce /online remote shopping in order to accelerate momentum and growth for Copia Remote Shopping.
- Gather and consolidate disparate data and analytics from multiple data sources.
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed
Qualifications
- You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science / Engineering or an Information Science, Mathematics related field or equivalent and relevant work-related experience and /or training.
- Data science knowledge and experience are a plus.
- You possess excellent SQL and Excel skills
- You have 3+ years experience in data/insights-heavy fields (e.g. consulting, eCommerce, betting, telco, or banking.)
- You have prior experience with SEM, SEO, and website analytics.
- You have prior experience with experimental design i.e. test/control, basic statistics • You have worked with eCommerce analysis & visualization tools
- You have experience in both Business and Customer Analytics.

Job Description
We are looking for the best and the brightest web developers to add to our technology team. These individuals must have experience translating concepts and specifications into usable and efficient line of business and public-facing applications using WordPress. They should also possess a keen eye for design, detail and presentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform an end to end software development life cycle (SDLC) projects and activities.
- Simulation and modeling of software.
- Testing software and assuring its quality.
- Implement the localization or globalization of the software as per the market needs.
- Performance tuning, balancing, improvement, automation, and usability.
- Investigate, analyze and document reported defects.
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
- Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
- Produce technical specifications from design documents.
- Analyze user requirements and produce functional specifications if called upon to do so.
- Modify existing software, based on technical specifications.
- Locate and fix reported defects as required.
- Run unit tests to ensure developed software has the minimum of defects.
- Complete work to estimates and within previously agreed timescales.
- Complete all work, documentation or software, to the highest possible standards.
- Provide assistance to all departments in the resolution of issues.
- Ensure that peer-to-peer code reviews are always done during a development cycle and that outcomes are used in bettering the products.
- Ensure that the development process is following and required coding processes carried out.
- Have a willingness and ability to learn and apply new development techniques.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science / Engineering or an Information Science related field or equivalent and relevant work-related experience and /or training.
- Minimum three years of web development experience in a competitive environment.
- 3+ years of professional experience in PHP and WordPress.
- 3+ years of professional experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, ability to construct advanced, flexible user interfaces with JavaScript.
- Experience working with front end frameworks like VueJS, Angular etc
- Experience creating/modifying WordPress themes and plugins
- Experience implementing web designs as provided by the designers into actual sites.
- Experience with designing responsive websites.
- Working knowledge of the general tech landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
