Senior Developer

A Bit About The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT, the business is seeking a Senior Developer who understands and has a passion for the digital banking infrastructure. You would need to bring your creativity to the table and not be afraid to experiment for the benefit the company. You will need to be a strong coder who can bring their expertise to each project

Requirements

Your daily adventures include:

  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Testing and deploying programs and applications
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
  • Responsible for value and builds to continuously improve the quality of deliverables
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
  • Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
  • Coding and work with Cloud Infrastructure
  • Build projects from the ground up
  • Build a core stack, but also focusing on special projects, such as scoring capabilities, device financing etc
  • Managing their work using available resources and methodologies ensuring full team engagement

What It Takes To Succeed

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in the Digital Bank, Fintech, Payments sector preferably start-up’s
  • Understand new Tech’s and old Tech’s
  • Strong coding skills, strong best practice, be able to lead, groom and mentor an individual or team on the project
  • Can work without being Micromanaged
  • Be creative
  • Certified in Java a plus if you are certified in other languages such as Spring Boot, MySQL etc
  • Your 12 month sprint goal is 3 builds – 1 for telcos 1 for fintech’s and 1 for the scoring engine

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the business is seeking a Head of IT who is passionate about the IT space and process driven. Their ideal candidate will need to have strong DevOps skills and be an all tech tools rounder. You will need strong communication skills as you will be the person in contact with partner and the client tech teams.

Requirements

Your daily adventures include:

  • The main point of contact for the dev team, QA team, security lead, infrastructure lead.
  • Manage remote teams, and projects across multiple markets
  • Oversee projects and handle all administration, management and best practice as the CTO focuses on builds
  • Implementing new Processes
  • Overseeing Coding does not need to do coding but understand and overlook the coding.
  • Be the face of the IT department
  • Help built products/projects and give impute where needed

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the business is seeking a Head of Data who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will be able to take charge of the Data the company has to offer and extract it to show what is there and what is missing. You would be able to build Credit Risk Models and bring your passion for data to life.

Requirements

Your daily adventures include:

  • Credit focused, from non-traditional micro lending
  • Work on credit risk analysis and scoring in digital lending, using structured and unstructured data
  • Lead a lean team that would focus on building internal data scoring capabilities, as well and data analytics
  • Focused on internalizing the companies’ Scoring capabilities for its products ranging from short term loans and device financing for MNOs, to SME lending
  • Work with statistical credit risk modelling
  • Work with the CFO to enable business decisions based off the data
