Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Consultant job In Oman

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in Trauma Surgery to join our clients esteemed healthcare team in Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert surgical care and treatment to patients with orthopedic trauma injuries, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.
  • Perform complex orthopedic surgical procedures, such as open reduction internal fixation (ORIF), external fixation, and limb reconstruction surgeries.
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technology to achieve optimal patient outcomes while minimizing complications and risks.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary trauma teams to provide comprehensive care to critically injured patients, including coordinating with emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
  • Conduct preoperative evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning for trauma patients in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Manage postoperative care, including wound management, pain control, and rehabilitation, to promote patient recovery and functional outcomes.
  • Provide timely and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, surgical procedures, and treatment plans in medical records.
  • Participate in trauma quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and continuing medical education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient care.
  • Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements governing orthopedic trauma surgery practices.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or fellowship training in Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on Trauma Surgery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in Trauma Surgery.
  • Valid medical license and registration to practice medicine.
  • Proficiency in performing complex orthopedic trauma surgeries and managing trauma patients in a high-volume setting.
  • Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting patient safety.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and work effectively under pressure.
