Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in Trauma Surgery to join our clients esteemed healthcare team in Oman.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert surgical care and treatment to patients with orthopedic trauma injuries, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.
- Perform complex orthopedic surgical procedures, such as open reduction internal fixation (ORIF), external fixation, and limb reconstruction surgeries.
- Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technology to achieve optimal patient outcomes while minimizing complications and risks.
- Participate in multidisciplinary trauma teams to provide comprehensive care to critically injured patients, including coordinating with emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
- Conduct preoperative evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning for trauma patients in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Manage postoperative care, including wound management, pain control, and rehabilitation, to promote patient recovery and functional outcomes.
- Provide timely and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, surgical procedures, and treatment plans in medical records.
- Participate in trauma quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and continuing medical education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient care.
- Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements governing orthopedic trauma surgery practices.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or fellowship training in Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on Trauma Surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in Trauma Surgery.
- Valid medical license and registration to practice medicine.
- Proficiency in performing complex orthopedic trauma surgeries and managing trauma patients in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting patient safety.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and work effectively under pressure.
