ROLE PURPOSE:

This is a newly created senior role as part of the Global Fundraising and Marketing Hub and is responsible for driving and supporting our ambition on global growth of Individual Giving (IG) with a priority on sustainable flexible income through Regular Giving at an optimal return on investment.

This role will lead on our global donor development strategies, ensuring that our retention and lifetime value strategies are optimized globally and that we seize market opportunities to drive income growth and product innovation in markets that present opportunity. This role will work collaboratively with other members of the Global Marketing and Fundraising Hub and alongside Heads of IG and donor development in member markets, acting as the senior global expert in IG donor development for Save the Children International.

The International Head of Donor Development is a senior expert in supporter retention and development, responsible for promoting best practice and innovation. They are also responsible for ensuring that at a strategic level, they are supporting members to make investments in fundraising programs that will drive lifetime value including through legacy giving and product mix.

A critical part of the role will be to guide and lead our strategic objectives for 2022-24: to develop a global portfolio of products and propositions for both Regular and Single Gift giving and to drive forward our ambition for significant growth in Legacy giving.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Outstanding leadership and team building skills from leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams to success in the past.
  • Significant experience in developing and leading successful, large scale, multi-channel individual giving programs, including extensive experience in regular giving in at least two national markets.
  • Proven success in leading donor development programs and increasing the value of regular giving donor bases through activities such as upgrade, reactivation, winback and cross selling of single giving and legacy pledge asks. In particular we are looking for detailed channel experience in core channels for retention and legacy marketing including Telemarketing programs.
  • Experience of managing agencies and suppliers, and working with specialist consultants, including in product or proposition development for fundraising audiences.
  • Up to date knowledge of global individual giving and legacy marketing fundraising techniques, products and channels
  • A strong understanding of business and financial planning, budgeting and budget management.
  • Good project management skills, and proven ability to devise and operate to contingency plans where necessary.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to analyse marketing and financial data and produce effective management information.
  • Experience of managing cross-functional project teams, consultants and agencies.
  • Experience of managing and working in cross-organisational working groups with strong co-ordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with an open-minded attitude.
  • The ability to influence and motivate others and to foster collaboration; to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures, and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English.

Humanitarian Fundraising & Product Manager

ROLE PURPOSE

This role will be part of the Global Fundraising and Marketing Hub and is responsible for 1) developing the global products and audience portfolio for humanitarian fundraising, particularly the Children’s Emergency Fund, and 2) supporting all other aspects of humanitarian fundraising, including reactive emergencies, emergency preparedness, and strategy and storytelling.

This role reports to and works in partnership with Head of International Humanitarian Fundraising to focus on building and supporting a global portfolio of products and propositions to fund the Save the Children Humanitarian Response Plan (~$1 billion in 2022), as well as reacting to sudden onset emergencies with content and direction for fundraising for that emergency in order to help Members optimise their offers to key donor audiences. 

The Humanitarian Fundraising & Product Manager is also responsible for supporting and promoting best practice and innovation across the portfolio of existing humanitarian fundraising products, and will also have the opportunity to lead or support our global new product development work with and through Members.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • A strategic thinker with strong tactical skills and experience
  • Significant marketing / fundraising experience with a proven track record of delivering high-income growth in at least two markets, and ideally understands how products work to attract support or extensive knowledge in working with in donor development. 
  • Proven expertise and up-to-date knowledge of global fundraising techniques, channels and products, specifically in Individual Giving (regular and single)
  • Experience of a market start-up / fast growth phase for a fundraising or marketing operation.
  • A strong understanding of the business infrastructure and leadership requirements of expanding organizations.
  • A strong understanding of business and financial planning, budgeting and budget management.

CAPP Data Analyst

Role Purpose:

The Coding, PRIME and PMM programme forms a major part of Save the Children International’s (SCI) High Performing Organisation (HPO) programme. The project has completed design and has moved into develop and deploy the global CAPP solution across 56 country and regional offices in SCI and to other SC Member organisations by 2022 – and to transform existing project management, monitoring and financial data management processes into standardised systems and solutions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with one year of experience in data analysis and data entry to develop an understanding of charity sector project management processes and interventions as well as an insight into results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation data we use to track our impact as an organisation. This role provides insight into Save the Children Alliance’s project portfolio and operational environment and would be ideal for someone looking to understand project management tools and methods used in development/charity projects.

The CAPP Data Analyst will be one of two people coordinating with the Country Offices to collect and support the transposition of Project & Award Data in preparation for office adoption of new systems and processes. They will be completing reviews to ensure that content is primed for the PRIME system accurately reflecting what has been agreed by Member and Donor organisations.

Finance Business Partner – Global Technical Expertise Architecture

ROLE PURPOSE

SCI is currently facing a number of external pressures that require us to look at our structure and ways of working and determine the changes we need to make in order to remain relevant as we move into 2021 and beyond. As part of this, The Technical Expertise (TE) Transformation Project aims to ensure we have the right technical expertise in the right places around the world. We believe that Technical Experts are critical for achieving our breakthroughs for children. We currently have Technical Experts sitting in member organizations around the world and we are looking at how we can organize this expertise in the most effective way.

The Finance Business Partner role sits within the Global Architecture Workstream, which is looking at the organisational architecture for Save the Children’s global TE’s in both a humanitarian and development context. In 2022, the Global Architecture Workstream will progress six sub-workstreams. These include implementing One Humanitarian Technical Team (OHT) and building cross-functional strategic goal teams.

The TE Transformation Finance Business Partner reports into the Finance function in SCI Centre, but will work day to day within the Global Architecture Workstream of the TE Transformation Project to provide Finance expertise to the Workstream.

The Finance BP would be responsible for ensuring all Finance impacts of the Workstream are well articulated, there is a clear risk management plan for any Finance risks and that clear Finance principles, policies and processes are developed in collaboration with member Finance representatives. The Finance BP should also take a strategic viewpoint and work with the project leadership/SCI Finance leadership to develop a clear approach for ensuring the longer-term financial sustainability of any changes.

This role would collaborate with the TE Transformation Awards Manager to ensure any requirements gathering, analysis and design for the Global Architecture Workstream meet donor requirements and Awards principles.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Demonstrable technical understanding of financial management processes in a large multi-lateral organisation, ideally within an NGO
  • A strong results orientation and attention to detail; 
  • Experience of implementing financial systems and process improvement projects 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and assess alternative options and proposals
  • A proven ability to deliver to the highest standards in a fast-paced and complex environment, with high quick turnaround times
