Head Teacher
The Head Teacher is the lead educator and the accounting officer in the school. He/she is responsible for the provision of leadership in implementation of the curriculum, educational policies and programs. He/she also leads in the development and implementation of the school’s strategy, work plans, budgets, and supervises the operations of the school.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT;
To qualify for appointment to the Position of Head Teacher, a teacher must: –
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean Grade C (Plain) or equivalent qualification
- Primary Teacher Education Certificate (PTE) or its approved equivalent.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education degree in or its equivalent;
- Have minimum teaching experience of five (5) years, three (3) of which s/he should have served at least as a Deputy Head Teacher in a fully-fledged primary school
- Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and have a valid teaching certificate have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;
- Must be conversant with the current trends in education and curriculum design.
- Demonstrate ability to use ICT within the CBC framework
- Have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers;
- Having undertaken the relevant TPD modules will be an added advantage
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
Deputy Head Teacher
The Deputy Head Teacher will report to the Head Teacher. He/she will be required to have knowledge on the development and implementation of the curriculum, education policies and programmes.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT;
To qualify for appointment to the grade of Deputy Head Teacher, a teacher must: –
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean Grade C (Plain) or equivalent qualification
- Primary Teacher Education Certificate (PTE) or its approved equivalent.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience as a Senior Primary School Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher in a reputable school.
- Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and have a valid teaching certificate;
- Must be conversant with the current trends in education and curriculum design.
- Demonstrate ability to use ICT within the CBC framework
- Have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers;
- Having undertaken the relevant TPD modules will be an added advantage
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
Pre-Primary School Teachers
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean Grade C (Plain) or its equivalent qualification.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and have a valid teaching certificate
- At least three (3) years’ experience in an ECDE Centre or comparable organization.
- Demonstrate ability to use ICT within the CBC framework
- At least one specialty in co-curricular activities will be an added advantage.
- Must be conversant with the current trends in education and curriculum design.
- Possess excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Primary School Teachers
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean Grade C (Plain) or equivalent qualification
- Primary Teacher Education Certificate (PTE) or its approved equivalent.
- Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and have a valid teaching certificate.
- At least three (3) years working experience as a Primary School Teacher in a reputable school.
- Demonstrate ability to use ICT within the CBC framework
- Must be conversant with the current trends in education and curriculum design.
- Possess excellent communication and facilitation Skills
- Applicants with any of the following will have an added advantage:
- Training in Special Needs Education
- Competency in at least one foreign language
- At least one specialty in co-curricular activities

The Terms of Service for these positions is Two (2) year Performance Based renewable contract.
