Centralized Funding Dealer

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • To coordinate all the existing and approved lines across the subsidiaries to ensure optimization of borrowings and lending within the Group.
  • To coordinate funding for subsidiaries by KCB Group.
  • To coordinate regional currencies funding for KCBK.
  • In liaison with other stakeholders arrange for long term funding.
  • In liaison with FI, create Money Market Revolving lines with global banks.
  • In liaison with FI, create Stand By Letters of Credit (SBLC) to support Money Market Revolving lines where the same is required.
  • In liaison with Group Finance Director, arrange for longer term borrowings from offshore banks and DFIs for subsidiary support.
  • Advise on subsidiary liability planning, pricing, and market trends.
  • Ensure funding is appropriately priced based on tenor and country risk.
  • Coordinate with Market Risk to review and keep to date inter-subsidiary limits.
  • Matrix reporting of P&L from resultant transactions.

Investor Services Department – Relationship Manager, Investor Services

Main Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Source, expand and retain existing client relationships so as to increase market share and profitability.
  • Ensure financial and business growth targets assigned are achieved.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and identification of repeat and new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for managing existing portfolio of clients through continuous reviews and identification of client needs.
  • Provide service to customers with regard to account information, and queries raised.
  • Facilitate problem resolution with specialized units.
  • Contract review and negotiation with current and potential clients.
  • Source and prepare tenders / presentations for potential business opportunities.
  • Ensures all client KYC/AML documentation is up to date.
  • Identify and manage the risks associated with custody services business. 
  • Provide a service focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of contact for new and existing clients.
  • Attend Client meetings, Annual General Meetings, new business pitches and make presentations as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Client investment committees and Fund secretaries so as to bolster good working relationship.
  • Ensure that all Custody Reports are submitted to clients as per SLA timelines. 
  • Responsibility for resolution of audit matters for custody services clients. 
  • Ensure billing and collection of revenue for custody services rendered
  • Maintain high level integrity and ethical standards – Uphold highest levels of integrity and ethical standards.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Capital Markets Program Certification
  • Five (5) years’ banking experience in the Financial/banking sector, three (3) of which should be in Relationship Management in Custodial Services.
