ICT Manager Job, Pharmaceutical Technologist, AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital Jobs,
AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital is a is a 130-bed level five teaching and referral hospital located in Elgeyo Marakwet County about 80 km North of Eldoret town. The hospital does 44,000 outpatient visits yearly and does about 2000 operations yearly.
We are seeking to recruit value based mission oriented individuals to fill the following open vacancies.
ICT MANAGER
Reporting to the Hospital Director, the officer at this level will be responsible for all ICT needs of the hospital and its allied departments. Specific duties will include but not limited to: –
- Designing, setting up and configuring complex switching environments and complex wireless networks that support secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
- Configuring and setting up cisco firewalls, VPN concentrators and security appliances for access to vital mission critical applications
- Maintaining network security through proper configuration of VPN and firewalls
- Setting up and maintaining the LAN and its associated components (switches, structured cabling, power provisioning etc)
- Assisting in the designing of multiserver environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS
- Providing technical assistance and support to internal staff, vendors and partner agencies
- Maintaining both the wired and wireless network inclusive of performance security throughput and upgrades
- Implementing network upgrades by developing, testing, evaluating and installing enhancements
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
- Implementing effective maintenance of all hardware inclusive of enterprise hardware such as servers, storage, switches, routers and UPS’s
- Troubleshooting of network hardware and software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
- Ensuring all work and changes to infrastructure components are performed in such a way as to minimize disruptions to existing ICT services
- Ensuring technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with the hospital’s standards, policies and procedures
- Assisting in keeping track of the hospital’s infrastructure assets and ensuring that the infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times including back up
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related from a recognized institution
- Have a five-year work experience. Experience in Hospital setup is preferred
- Experience in ICT Project Management is an added advantage
- Experience in hardware and software support and management
- Committed Christian and willingness to serve in rural set up
- Must have a good inter-personal and communication skills
- Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya.
PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST
Reporting to the Medical Director, summary of duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: –
- Dispenses medications to outpatients and inpatients as per hospital policies
- Be able to counsel and educate patients with proper instructions for use and cautions regarding side effects
- Participates with stock taking, replenishing stock and keeping the pharmacy orderly and maintaining drug security within the pharmacy
- Maintaining records of medicines and other products
Qualifications
- Diploma holder in Pharmaceutical technology from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poison Board
- Possess valid practicing/retention license.
- Born again and committed Christian
- At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position
- Good customer care skills
- Knowledgeable in electronic medical records
