Logistics Technician

About the Job

Technology support on the right use and maintenance of the smart meters during and after installation. The role is also responsible to the efficient use of the company vehicles in such a manner that the company assets are optimized.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking care of the LPG gas Cylinders and the accessories on the vehicle (TUKs, Motor Bikes, Canters, etc.).
  • Responsible for Replenishment of used LPG on time.
  • Responsible for the safe keeping of the support resources provided by the company to ensure smooth operations in the field (Phones, PPEs and Merchandize)
  • Responsible for efficient and timely delivery of the orders to the intended customers. Orders are categorized into Cylinders that are near depletion or new placements.
  • Responsible for managing the delivery process as stipulated by the organization and use of the required technology.
  • Responsible for managing the vehicle by economically and safely driving to the required destinations and according to designated routes.
  • In charge of the load on the vehicle and all under possession from the company including spare wheel, jack, and wheel Personal Attributes

Technical Sales Representative

About the Job

  • To support the organization, realize its strategic intent on customer Service through effectively signing up new customers’ as well as servicing the signed-up ones with the LPG cylinders filled with gas.
  • The role will also entail support to the customer service by understanding issues raised by customers as well as answering any complaints raised by the customers.
  • To offer technology support on the right use and maintenance of the smart meters during and after installation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for signing up /enrolling new customers to use LPG gas and other accessories offered by the company in their houses, preferably in the kitchen area
  • Verify customer identification by checking original documents. Call back on the telephone line to confirm the phone number.
  • Satisfactorily take the customer through the contract ahead of installation.
  • Request the customer to re-arrange the house in readiness for the cooking solution taking ventilation into consideration.
  • Ensure the customer/user is present at the time of installation.
  • Perform the task of signing up customer, installation, battery change and cylinder change as well as any other task as may be assigned by the team leader from time to time.
  • Responsible for giving honest feedback to operations on any consumer complaints.
  • Responsible for the safe keeping of the support resources provided by the company to ensure smooth operations in the field (Phones, PPEs and Merchandize)
  • Responsible for effectively communicating to the customers on any information that will make the experience of the customer good.
  • Responsible for managing the delivery process as stipulated by the organization and use of the required technology.
  • Responsible for managing the route adherence to support operations optimization by guiding the logistics on the locations for the new customers.
  • In charge of the volume per sales area and increasing consumption of the customers assigned/ allocated to them
  • In charge of the customer service by communicating correctly any messages intended to our customers.

To support the organization to realize its strategic intent on customers growth within the territory assigned through full depot management from the people, assets, various systems in use, warehouse, HSE, sales and costs. In addition, the role plays an integral part in the Route to market (RTM) strategy in collaboration with other departments. Customer service is key, and the role ensure customers’ needs are met satisfactorily while ensuring a profitable business unit through implementation of optimization initiatives in a legally compliant environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality customers growth in the depot with an average consumption of > 4kg per month
  •  Ensure timely & accurate customer service relations to cylinders and batteries changes.
  • Steward Product Control & Measurements.
  •  Inspection of depot equipment and facility periodically and coordinating maintenance at the Depot.
  •  Ensure compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 requirements at the depot and general housekeeping of the depot.
  • Developing and managing filling depot budgets, ensuring operating expenses are within approved budget and that value is maximized in all areas of expense and proposal for both yearly CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Monitor control of product losses during receipt, in storage and during issuing.
  •  Developing, implementing and enforcing compliance and adherence to company policies requirements, procedures and systems, and statutory requirements at the depot e.g., licensing and labor requirements.
  •  Regularly monitoring the state of depot terminal security and initiating preventive action for any identified exposure.
  • Ensure efficient and smooth operations of all depot activities including but not limited to safe and proper receipt, storage and handling of products/equipment at the depot to ensure quick turnaround of the trucks.
  • Approving all documents as per the delegation of authority guide.
  • Liaising with industry and other stakeholders in coordinating emergency response and preparedness and being the Incident Commander in the event of an emergency at the depot.
  • Routine carrying out of fire drills in liaison with HSSE Manager.
  • Approval of all spare parts and equipment’s leaving the depot.
  • Reviewing daily and monthly stock reports and ensuring that loss analysis beyond approved limits is promptly carried out and explanations for variation given to management.
  • Managing, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure a high level of employee motivation and performance.
  • Co-ordination of stock available in liaison with other stakeholders’ e.g., Logistic, Central warehouse, Procurement, etc.
  • Facilitates evaluation of the staff under the role and takes part in disciplinary actions to offenders to policies and other offenses.
  • This role oversees the profit and loss of the depot and hence decisions on what needs to be focused on to create value is important.
