Branch Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

Business Growth

  • Entrench growth by market dominance and market share multiplication.
  • Ensure that the overall budget of the Business Office is met and surpassed.
  • Keep up to date with business environment information with the objective of identifying business opportunities and maximizing them.
  • Network with all potential clients in all relevant categories of own locality

Profitability Management

  • Overall owner of the P&L of the branch and hence managing resources optimally, both human and material to achieving sustainable profitability
  • Driving through the business segments within the branch to ensure maximization of coverage in own locality
  • Develop and manage strategies to increase the share of wallet of all types of customers within own locality

Branch Operations & Leadership

  • Own responsibility for the Business Office – Market Facing & Customer Service functions
  • Ensure effective Customer Service Delivery and Experience across all touchpoints in the branch
  • Responsible for brand and ambience management within the branch
  • Ensure that the Bank’s/ Regulatory Authorities’ policies and guidelines are complied with at all times
  • Direct and coach the branch team while instituting and driving a learning culture within the branch

KPIs:

  • Achieve the approved PBT for the branch

Job Requirements

  • First degree in any field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with a leading industry player.
  • Additional professional qualifications will be an added advantage particularly in sales and marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking

Job Objective

  • Responsible for developing, growing and managing customer relationships and for increasing the Bank’s revenue through marketing of the banks products and services to identified Commercial Customers. Additionally, to develop and maintain positive customer relationships, oversee the marketing of the Bank’s products and services and ensure maximum profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for the management of own portfolio of customers ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of service and advice to meet their specific needs
  • Play a key role in client acquisition and management of existing client relationships consistent with the Bank’s strategy in-order to achieve desired quality business growth
  • Enhance client retention by providing a one-stop point of contact for all the client’s needs and requirements while providing world class customer service
  • Maintain, acquire and reactivate customer relationships to improve deposit liability growth and mix.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analyses within marketing area and strategize plans that will give the bank a large part of the market within its vicinity
  • Ensure effective relationship management for existing customers and build new relationships

Job Requirements

  • Excellent banking knowledge with a minimum of Four (4) years in Relationship Management/Marketing Experince and also Credit Experience with a leading industry player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking

Job Objective

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers with the aim of selling the Bank’s products to the corporate companies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maximize account profitability by selling other products and services to the banks customers
  • Drive collections in customer’s account which will be used for FX and other businesses.
  • Identify and develop conglomerates banking relationships
  • Ensure proper documentation throughout the credit application and availment process
  • Sourcing for and monitoring of customer’s tenured investment or facilities.
  • Respond promptly and satisfactorily to customer’s daily request and complaints
  • Prepare weekly and monthly statistics/performance reports for management use.
  • Monitoring of the customer’s main account regularly
  • Reconcile all transactions on customer’s accounts where and when necessary.
  • Initiate and carry out recovery action on non-performing credits facilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive database of the customers operational records including the existing and prospective customer data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Corporate banking.

Key Performance Indicators

  • % of large corporate sector accounts controlled by UBA in the country.
  • Timeliness in delivering revenue generation reports.
