Electrical Engineering Fellow

About the Role

  • Regen Organics is looking for an Electrical Intern to assist the Electrical Engineer in design and fabrication of electrical engineering projects, systems and equipment and in the creation of mathematical models based on Google Sheets and Excel worksheets to simulate the performance of design projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and fabrication of electrical engineering projects, systems and equipment.
  • Assist in the creation of mathematical models based on Google Sheets and Excel worksheets that will be used to simulate the performance of design projects.
  • Develop, interpret and edit engineering drawings (i.e. Assembly, P&ID and Layout drawings) and specification sheets used for internal and external reference.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of mathematical models, plant systems and equipment and lead the resolution interventions under supervision.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations that report on the status of engineering projects.
  • Interacting with vendors to obtain price and product information that is used in the procurement of equipment, spare parts and supplies for engineering projects.
  • Assist in project management by managing the performance of contractors in terms of quality, safety, schedule and cost.
  • Assist in the preparation  of equipment handover documentation, installation and commissioning. 
  • Assist in the design and implementation of engineering trials to test the optimal operating conditions of processes and equipment.
  • Research into alternative technologies and performing cost benefit analysis of process improvement alternatives.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Visio, Google Docs application Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Good powerpoint presentation, written and verbal  skills
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems.

Engineering Fellows

About the Role

  • Regen Organics is looking for a Process Design / Electrical/ Mechanical and civil Engineering Fellows who will work under a Mechanical Engineer and will be responsible for applying engineering principles and techniques to optimize the production processes in the manufacturing environment to meet organisational objectives. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop equipment specification sheets for internal design and vendor engagement
  • Develop mechanical drawings for various equipment
  • Shortlist potential vendors and request designs for quotation
  • Assist senior engineers in performing a detailed analysis on bids
  • Organise, monitor and analyse results for design validation field trials 
  • Contribute to operational process optimisation reviews
  • Contribute to reviews of vendor documentation and other discipline documents
  • Interact with other disciplines and vendors to ensure design accuracy
  • Create operating guidelines and start-up/commissioning procedures
  • Work with construction team to support field installation and commissioning efforts

Qualifications

  • An Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Good understanding of engineering concepts, specifically fluid dynamics and heat transfer
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated capability to efficiently and rapidly analyse data related to processing systems 
  • Ability to look beyond the most obvious answer to identify engineering solutions that are safe, practical, reliable, and cost effective
  • A learning mindset and interest in working under the guidance of senior engineers to develop your engineering expertise

Process and Chemical Engineering Fellow

About the Role

  • The role of a process engineering fellow involves designing and optimizing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. The process design fellow is responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing innovative solutions to enhance overall performance. An engineering problem within the factory will be defined for the process engineering fellow to solve through the project management framework. The process design fellow applies their creativity and principles of process engineering design to convert concepts into tangible and impactful solutions.    
  • Their key responsibilities typically include: Process Analysis, Problem-Solving, Process Design, Process Optimization, Data Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Compliance and Safety, Documentation, Vendor Management, and Training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic calculations to determine line sizes, pump specifications, and control valve sizing.
  • Perform heat transfer calculations to determine heat exchanger duty requirements and sizing.
  • Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P ID) for different processing units, including details such as line sizes, control valves, isolation valves and control logic.
  • Participate in and leading P&.ID review session.
  • Participate in Hazard and Operability (HARP) studies.
  • Create close-out reports for P&.ID review sessions and HAZOP sessions.
  • Contribute to reviews of vendor documentation and other discipline documents.
  • Develop line-lists and setting hydro-test boundary limits.
  • Create operating guidelines and start-up/commissioning procedures.
  • Interact with other disciplines and vendors to ensure design accuracy.
  • Lead Equipment installation, commissioning, operator training and handover.
  • Audit site operations to ensure equipment work instructions have been fully adopted.

Qualifications

  • An Engineering degree in either Process/Chemical/Civil or Mechanical.
  • Good understanding of chemical engineering concepts specifically fluid dynamics and heat transfer models.
  • Experience developing or contributing to control philosophies and operating guidelines.
  • Experience developing or contributing to the sizing of processing equipment such as pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, piping systems, and control valves.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated capability to analyze processing systems efficiently and rapidly.
  • Ability to look beyond the most obvious solution to provide engineering designs that are safe, practical, reliable, and cost effective.
  • A learning mindset and interest in taking on board constructive feedback from senior engineer’s order to develop their process engineering expertise while delivering solutions that meet design requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • A proactive attitude, with a willingness to get involved and learn by doing.
