Ideal Job Specifications

  • Masters in Information Science will be an added advantage

Professional:

  • MCP, MCSE, ITIL or CISA qualifications.

Desired work experience:

  • 10 years’ working experience in an IT environment, with sound exposure to database and network administration, 4 of which should be at a senior management level.

Senior Manager, Security Assurance

Job Purpose Statement

  • This role will drive cyber security assurance and best practice in technology projects and systems, instilling security by design practices within the Group, and ensuring that existing andnew Bank systems, products and technology is designed for security, and meet the Bank security standards.
  • This role will also be responsible for developing security practices for a fast-paced and agile digital Banking environment, with focus on modern platforms and practices such as cloud computing, DevSecOps and micro-services architecture.

Ideal Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required
  • At least 7 years’ experience in IT or information security, with 2 years in a managerial role
  • within a highly digitized organization.
  • 3+ years’ experience conducting IT compliance assessments and administering IT security controls in an organization.
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems in relation to IT
  • Security and IT Risk.
  • Knowledge of information security best practice & compliance standards.
  • Experience with modern technology platforms and practices, including agile development, micro services architecture, cloud computing and DevOps
  • Experience with designing security frameworks and architectures.
  • Relevant certifications in information security knowledge areas, such as Information
  • Systems Audit, Information Security Management and Ethical Hacking.
  • Knowledge of project management skills.

Assistant Relationship Manager

Job Purpose Statement

  • The role holder is required to achieve customer growth and retention management for a specific portfolio through collaborative account plan management with the Relationship Management teams and other stakeholders in the organisation.
  • They shall serve as the voice of customer within the Bank, ensuring that all promises made to the customer through the relationship management teams are fulfilled. The role holder shall manage the sector’s operational duties, customer queries and arising complaints to closure by closely coordinating interactions between customers and internal stakeholders.
  • They shall be held responsible for achieving process improvement and change management within the corporate banking department.
  • Proactively engage with internal support teams to ensure customer fulfilment while ensuring strict adherence with all policy requirements including proper documentation, routine portfolio monitoring, controls and exemptions management (compliance with credit, AML/KYC requirements). The role holder will be required to provide active administrative support to the sector head.
  • They will assist RMs with cheque refers, excess requests and to prepare credit applications for further analysis and action by the RM. Relevant experience in the specific sector will be an added advantage.

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited university.

Professional:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an assistant management capacity in a similar sized organisation.

Desired work experience:

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving a portfolio’s financial growth.
  • Experience in products, bank operations and customer experience is highly desirable.

Budget/ Accountability:

  • Drive customer fulfilment for the sector.

  • Spread financials for credit applications and manage cheques/customer payments processing

Legal Counsel

Job Purpose Statement

  • The Legal Counsel is responsible for managing full spectrum of the Bank’s Banking business from lending, securities, contracting and projects, litigation and recoveries.
  • The role’s principal goal will be to offer practical legal support to the business units through balanced business-oriented legal advice that will guarantee that all our banking transactions and decisions comply with established laws and regulations in line with the legal risk policy and related contractual, litigation, recovery and securities procedures & processes.

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Law (LLB)
  • Master of Laws (LLM) (Desired but not mandatory)

Professional:

  • Admission as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya (minimum 5 – 7 years post admission)
  • A Masters degree in combination with an aggregate of five to seven (7) years of qualifying work experience will be an added advantage)

Desired work experience:

  • A minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in the legal department of a busy organization, financial institution or law firm, with sound exposure to:
    • Contract and customer documentation drafting
    • Development of sound legal advisory and sound general advise
    • Credit or lending
    • Recoveries
    • Perfection of securities
